Went with family up from Exeter, not been there since early 80's when it was more of a pub, starter I had the potato skins with cuts of bacon and potato with salad, sour cream must say was tasteless, but that did not spoil it, I ordered the BBQ Chicken melt with nice thick bacon, cooked to perfection , chips... A very accommodating restaurant/public house. The Staff/managers where friendly and efficient. Its nice to find a place that values its own values and that of its clients. We arrived and where greeted by one of the staff and a nice smile, great start as we felt instantly welcome. My children enjoyed the meal and felt spoiled by the staff.

The steaks are great. Ribeye or sirloin with pepper sauce and chips. Oh yes and some onion rings - can't go wrong! The Nachos as a starter are also very good. Service is bright and friendly

I have been in this restaurant a number of times and it's always been ok. I recently took my mother in for a birthday lunch with the family. I was utterly let down. Service was ok but food was substandard and I've had better ribs in the harvester! Not only was I left unimpressed by the quality of food. Basically... More

I visited this pub yesterday with my colleagues for lunch. The pub décor as you first enter the pub is very inviting and is well laid out, and complementary to the ceiling beams, chic but rustic. We sat down at a table at the back of the restaurant area, which has the feeling of a cosy conservatory with lovely outlooks... More

Went here with friends to see if the new makeover was any better than the old ownership. Most of the decor is lighter and happier than before except for the ridiculous pallet wood wall covering. Food is the same, average and service still slow.

Thank you for your feedback, although our lovely pallet wall shall be staying right where it is. We aim to provide a relaxed, not over bearing service as many of our guests choose to stay for a good few hours and we hate to make people feel hurried. If you are in a particular hurry just let us know, we understand... More
