Possibly the best burger I've ever had in my life - delicious ingredients and extremely well presented. The only negative was the slight grouchy waiter (owner?).

We were serting un the first restaurant area once you entered. The service was fast and good, the fondue was very tasty. The only négative point is that you can follow the conversation of each table and it can get quite noisy. I will definitely go back for a nice fondue.

I thoroughly enjoyed a dinner at the L’Auberge du Chasseur one evening in late May. I liked this small restaurant’s décor (wood paneling and while linen and clean lines) and appreciated the friendly, attentive service. I had a meal of comfort foods: I began with a mixed salad and then had a “fondue moitié-moitié” (a blend of gruyere and vacherin... More

A warm and cosy restaurant with a small, well-chosen menu which included several specialities of the region. The wine list was good and included several good local Swiss wines. (Yes, Switzerland does produce some very good wine!) The restaurant seemed rather small at first sight but there seemed to be several rooms leading off from the main room. Service was... More

Good food, but poor service. Staff is slow and not very friendly. We took a fondue and only get 2 slices of bread with it (so of course not enough for the whole fondue). So of course we asked for more and had to wait for like 10-15 minutes to get more bread...

We stoped there to have a little glass of wine and also have a charcuterie plate with it. I loved the decor, the wine and the food. great place after a visit of fribourg, great place for local to have a drink.

Wonderful classic French restaurant. This Auberge has a wonderful ambiance and great food. The service was well paced and in the Swiss Tradition, which is very precise, with a nice cadance. The Auberge offers one of the best Fondues in Fribourg. It also has a nice choice of Swiss wines. The restaurant is both simply and elegantly appointed. Its lay... More

This was a very pleasant surprise. We decided to spend an afternoon in Fribourg and walk the old town. Enjoyed the Saturday morning farmers market, plenty of food stalls and then lunch at Le Chasseur. The sign says Auberge du Chasseur dating from 1360. Owner has modernized it with one side being more casual and the other side more formal... More

We ordered one of the most common menues im switzerland : cordon bleu. It was a real Surprise the extraordinary good cheese and the meat in perfect harmony with salad and side dishes. Fast and professional service in a modern ambiente with still rests of the old tavern it was before.

Okay, but nothing special. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. We gave it up.
