This is a must go. The location is beautiful, kind of lost in the countryside (bumpy roads :)) but once you arrived the view is breathtaking. Nice people and great local food.

I've returned here at least once a year for the last five or six. The views on a clear day are unbeatable, and the food has always been excellent.

Great scenic spot! Not only the views to the sea and Tarifa but also to the nearby mountains are fantastic. Admittedly, there are better gourmet restaurants. But the combination of good food and wine quality, the stunning location and the outstanding friendliness of the hosts make it a clear "must have been spot".

This restaurant was recommended by friends who used to live here and it was a fabulous experience. It is absolutely a MUST if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. My husband and I own restaurants, so we know it's difficult to get a starter, main course, dessert, and drinks right. El Tesoro gets EVERYTHING right. Our... More

I was recommended this place by a Spanish lady who works in a Madrid market, so the pressure was on for me to be impressed. It had been very 'bigged up'. I went here for my birthday lunch during a trip through the south with my visiting parents. We hauled the car up the ludicrous dirt road into the mountains... More

We visited on the last day of the season, they were closing down until March 2015. The Chef and waitresses were all very pleasant and the views were spectacular. The food was reasonably good but I left just a little disappointed, after all the rave reviews I had read. The menu only had a few choices of meat, chicken, tuna, veal and lamb for the... More

We arrived there thru several locals recommendations. Certainly a great view in a beautiful day, but the food was a true disappointment. I share with my husband their CHULETON DE RETINTO, T-BONE, 1 kilo of tasteless meat. Someone else try the Tuna, from the nearby waters. It was frozen and tasteless also and the other person request a sirloin medium... More

We spent in week in Tarifa and had two great experiences at El Tesoro. The goat was amazing, the ham melted in your mouth and the deserts imaginative. We were a table for 10 on a saturday night they could not have been more attentive!

I'm really surprised to see so many positive (and recent) reviews of this place as our experience was quite different. We found the service to be appalling, none of the waiting staff even attempted to smile and one of them virtually threw the food at us. The food itself was mixed - our starters were quite nice but the mains... More

One of the most stunning views we have seen from restaurant over Tarifa, Straits of Gibralter and Morocco. We were a party of nine and were very well received. The food was well up to scratch and my desert of figs, rice pudding and brandy sauce was superb. The food presentation was eye catching and made for a wonderful lunch.... More
