One of my favorite restaurants reopened, I had dinner with a friend of mine celiac ... all very good as usual but above all we found a separate gluten free menu!! My friend had a great pizza and a delicious tiramisu always gluten-free while I ordered some delicious porcini tortelli and a meat carpaccio ending with a good tiramisu Impeccable service ... I have to say... I'm often in Nerja and La Fuente da Paolo remains a regular stop on our holiday evenings. The location is a beautiful square where those passing by for lunch or dinner are encouraged to stop especially when passing in front of the Fuente. The owner Paolo will be able to welcome you and advise you in an excellent way, first courses, pizza, second courses or desserts, the result will not change, all very good as always. This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever had the misfortune to visit. Despite the fact that there were no customers in the restaurant and loads of waiters and waitresses fooling around. Starter was OK but the calamari was quite rubbery. My second dish was spaghetti vongole, normally a nice dish with fresh clams in a wine sauce. The meal was peppered with an idiot waiter who kept bringing strange items to the table! Would you like more pork? And then a squeaky pig arrived on the table??? The waiter brought me uncooked clams to show me how fresh they were and that was where it got worse as they stank and were just lumps of rotting snot!!! Never again. I refused a replacement dish as my stomach was already churning.

We booked a table for 3 people and it was confirmed. Arrived at the restaurant waited for ages to be acknowledged then they only had us down as a table of 2, after a good 5 mins of them flapping around, we were seated at a table. Service was extremely slow waited 20 mins to be given a menu and our drinks order to be taken. The food arrived and it was delicious, we only had mains as once again a long wait for dessert menus to be given and a further wait of 20 mins before being acknowledged again. At this point we just asked for the bill! Such a shame the service is so bad as the food was excellent.

First visit this trip to one of our favourite restaurants over the years with my wife, who has now sadly passed away.
I dined soon after opening, and ordered langostines pil pil, to be followed by fresh ricotta & spinach ravioli.
What a disappointment, as the prawns were tasteless, and the spicy sauce weak and watery.
When the ravioli arrived it looked inviting, however, it was very cool and hard and undercooked. I brought this to the attention of the very pleasant waitress, who took it away after apologising and saying that I would not be charged or it!
I declined an alternative dish, and just ordered a desert, which was fine, but asked to speak to Paulo to express my disappointment and upset regarding the visit. He offered me an apology and a complementary drink.

Going to an Italian restaurant while on holidays in Spain may sound strange but the food, the service and the atmosphere make for a great meal and a very pleasant experience. There are very few tables inside, so we ate outdoors (heated terrace) and enjoyed the food and the service. The owner speaks 4 or 5 languages and clearly enjoys chatting with and teasing his clients. We intend to go back.

7 of us ate here and all really enjoyed our meals. I'm coeliac and saw they advertised gluten free options so we thought we'd give it a go. So glad we did! They had a completely separate GF menu and all my food came out with a stick in advising it's gf, which is so reassuring. The food was delicious. Staff friendly, entertaining and attentive.

Simply wonderful! Our best meal in Nerja, pity it was our last night, wish we'd found this place earlier! Made to feel extremely welcome, our waiter who served drinks and food was so funny! Service was brilliant from all too. Food was delicious, lamb chops, pizzas and pastas enjoyed by all of us! Highly recommend to all.

The treatment is exceptional, both from the owner and the waiters. The food was delicious and very well served, you can tell that it is homemade, it didn't take long to bring it, it was cold and they gave us a blanket for each of us and 2 heaters that kept us super warm and very comfortable. We will return for sure.

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and the service so much we went back again before we left the Nerja area. Brenda and Paolo were so welcoming and friendly and fun and really made us feel at home. Aaron and the rest of the staff were very attentive and friendly to all our needs too. My daughter asked them to hold the chicken in her Caesar, Paolo ever the jokester and perfect host brought her a rubber chicken instead.
The food and drinks are reasonably priced. We had their Caesar salad, the provoleta appetizer, the pollo Al Grigio, the gnocchi, and it was all very good. By the second visit we almost felt like family; celebrating a Spain win with them in the Euro cup was icing on the delicious flan! Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Nerja area looking for a great meal, friendly service, and ambiance.

We stayed in this place under the advice of a friend of Nerja.... Top experience! The square where it is located is very nice, beautiful preparation of the tables, attentive waiters, helpful, fast and smiling! The owner is a true professional, he also entertains customers with pleasant jokes and a lot of proximity!
We ate fish... Mussels, swordfish and salmon... Everything perfect!
The dishes and attention to detail (like strawberry on the wine glass😍) make the difference! I hope to return!

The restaurant is located a few meters from the Balcony of Europe.
The food was very good and we were served very quickly. The staff was very attentive at all times and the owner of the place was very friendly. We even said it was a birthday and he brought out a dessert with candles and encouraged everyone to sing.

Super fast and fantastic friendly service. A very own gluten-free menu luxury! Gluten free pasta carbonara was great, friendly carbonara included, one took lasagna which was wonderful, pizza thin and crispy. Recommended!
