We booked a table and was greeted by the owner who was extremely helpful with menu choices. We started with orange wood smoked salmon and smoked sardines with avocado and lemon caviar. This was followed by fillet steak. All of the food was cooked/prepared to...perfection and the service was fantastic. The bar was very busy with customers sampling a great tapas menu. Will definitely be returning to both the restaurant and bar!More

We have been coming to Nerja for many years and eaten at lots of restaurants but cannot recommend el nino highly enough. Typical Spanish atmosphere (not especially made for Northern europeans ) very friendly service, different beers and the food is all home made, very...fresh and served exquisitely. It was such a good find we went back three times!!More

As hoped, dinner was as good as the tapas at the bar. The chefs ability and Bibi's attention to detail and obvious passion about the food were apparent when she explained all the dishes on the menu and the finer details on those that were...brought to the table, in terms of provenance and quality. She is a a real foodie and the restaurant deserves success.More

What a great find! The hosts, the wine, the tapas were all excellent. Very authentic in a town that is quite commercial and cosmopolitan. We popped in for one drink and ended up staying all evening, resulting in far too much wine being consumed :-)...Intending going back for dinner.More

My experience will be probably turn out to be somewhat different from the norm. because the visit was made during the "lockdown regime" It was totally unplanned in any shape way or form. It was quite a hot day and having walked many kilometres around...the back streets of Nerja my wife and I were desperate for a nice sit and a glass of cold beer. We just happened to come across this appealing looking hostelry and ventured inside for respite. We were the only customers at 2-30 on a Wednesday afternoon, we ordered 2 beers and an appetising looking tapas from the multi-choice glass display. It turned out to be an absolutely delicious accompaniment to the refreshing cool beer. For the €4-80 total bill, which we considered to be extremely good value and having read the full restaurant menu it will definitely be on our radar to visit on our next trip to Nerja.More

Our friends have been coming here for years and couldn't wait to include it in my friends 60th birthday Tapas run, there was only one other group in when we arrived, so began to order our drinks, tapas wasn't offered much to my friends surprise,...a Spanish family came in they were swiftly served with drinks, we asked if we could choose some tapas, the man seemed very reluctant and carried on serving the other family, we eventually did get served. The tapas was barely warmed through. When we got the bill there was an extra glass of wine on the bill. We wont be returning.More

My husband went here for Valentine’s Day! €25 per head for 3 course meal including a bottle of wine! Superb value and food and the owner is absolutely delightful. Managed to squeeze us in on a very busy evening as we hadn’t booked. It’s a...great atmosphere and well worth a visit!More

Hello again Glenda, If you are looking for a decent pot of tea with a freshly baked scone, do try the Good Stuff Cafe on Calle Castilla Perez. It is owned by young Irish couple, everything is home baked. Enjoy Ruth
