Well I'm afraid it here at Nonna Mia's. I hate giving poor reviews but the owner needs to know the reaction of staff to a complaint. Booked a table and everything was great, lovely bubbly greeting and attentive. We order wine etc, then Gambas pil...pil with bread to mop up and at the same time I asked was it possible to have a ham & Mushroom pizza but don't worry if it was a problem for anyone. It was downhill from there, the Pil pil arrived but the bread not till 5 minutes or more after, infact we'd almost finished. Plates removed and almost immediately our chips arrived, the pizza's not until almost 10 minutes later, so I asked them to take away the chips as they were cold by now. My pizza was Ham only so I asked why? It was whisked away and returned with a pile of oily fried and what looked like tinned mushrooms slapped in the middle, very unappetising, so I told the waitress but I ate the pizza after removing the slop. This is where the girls attitude changed totally from smiley, bubbly & helpful to shouting animated loon storming through the restaurant and hovering over us yelling Naturale and making a scene plus upsetting my Wife. We weren't looking not to pay but wanted them to know we were dis-satisfied, an apology would have worked, a tirade didn't, so I asked for the chips to be removed from bill. Next time accept that everything isn't right everytime and don't offer anything you can't deliver but mainly treat your guests with a little respect, as I did by not raising my voice or adding to the scene by kicking off.More

Living in Nerja means eating out every week. Nonna Mia has bettered themselves over the years. They go a long way to make guests happy. The always happy Lidia and her nice staff create a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent Italian food, made by Italians.More

Ideal for everyday dining or special occasion. The pasta is freshly made in house and it definitely comes through in the taste and texture of the dishes. We also had the swordfish, which was not only fresh but perfectly cooked. The food was beautifully presented...and garnished on the plates. Service is outstanding, welcoming and friendly. We skipped our hotel's buffet this evening to have pizzas and a change of environment. So pleased we did. A lovely table for two just inside, tasty huge pizzas and good friendly service. The Italian red house wine was very good, and our after dinner...carajillos were well made. So impressed that we've booked to return before returning to the UK.More

Nonna mia has been one of our favorite restaurants during our years in Nerja. Similar to man other restaurants they suffered in quality during the pandemin with a loss of quality in both service and food. We were very happy to see and taste that...the restaurant is now back to having very good service as well as an excellent combination of taste. We strongly recommend the today special pasta which has so far never let us down.More
