My favourite restaurant in Nerja. Always excellent and so welcoming. But it’s not open any more. So sad to hear it has closed. I was looking forward to dining there again on this visit

JJ’S IS our first port of call in Burriana area of Nerja. We have been many, many times now and found the food and service always first class. For value for money it is excellent and Miguel, Janet and Graham are all top class hosts....We feel like it is a home from home on our visits.More

Extremely generous portions. Food was lovely and lots of choices - Spanish as well as British food. Service was excellent. Very good value for money.

We were actually going to the paella place nearby but it was packed so we tried JJ ‘s instead and were not disappointed. Had the avocado and tuna salad which was lovely but it was a mistake because when the main course arrived, I knew...there was no way I was going to finish it. Felt very guilty about ordering the roast beef (inSpain!) but it was Sunday. Massive portions, excellent food, very friendly staff. No worries about recommending this establishment-just make sure that you haven’t eaten for a couple of days!More

We like to visit at least once for lunch while we are in the area, we had a great lunch fresh and lovely service as always, the place was packed. We thought we would try an evening meal we should have booked as every table...was reserved so it shows how popular this place is, so the next time we are in the area we will reserve a tableMore

We visited this restaurant with some friends on a mid week evening in February. It was very busy, whereas other local restaurants were very quiet. The service and food were excellent. The menu for starters, mains and desserts was very varied. The ambiance was great....We will be back.More

We all chose from the Menu del Dia, which is incredibly good value for such good quality food. Beautifully cooked, nicely presented & so tasty. Steak & ale pie, lamb cutlets & pork in apricot sauce, delicious. All followed by home made puddings. Perfect service...too. We’ve eaten here a few times over the last 4 years (during our winter 3 month visits) and the standards are consistently excellent. Sorry, no photos of the puddings, they disappeared too quickly! Thank you all.More

As it was out of season there were not many restaurants that were open but this one seemed to be really busy. The food choice was very good and the staff were really friendly. The lamb shank was delicious, just as I like it, with...the meat so tender it just fell off the bone. It was served on a delicious bed of mash potato. My friend had the pork which was equally as delicious. It was very reasonably priced and we would definitely return again.More
