Shells Cafe is a really nice setting, looking out on the wild Atlantic waves. I have eaten here on a few occasions and the food has never disappointed, whether that was for breakfast, lunch or sweet treat. The only down point is that the tables fill up so quickly, so choose your time wisely.

Fantastic place to have lunch or a cuppa. Regularly attend Shells after a venture on the beach or a climb on Knocknera.

The place is absolutely amazing, especially for younger people. Cosy atmosphere, not too crowded and loud, with an attentive, knowledgable and lovely team, and the foods were lovingly prepared and decorated, decent portions, and very tasty! As vegans, we we very happy to see some items marked as vegan on the menu (see photos) - many more are available when... More

After climbing Knacknarae we visited here for some lunch. They have a big selection of sandwiches, soups and cakes. Everything was delicious, the bread was gorgeous as was the coffee. They have a little gift shop to the side which had some nice stuff! It was full to the brim on a cool Saturday in January so I can imagine... More

Had a coffe pre my seaweed bath next door then returned for lunch. Great menu - lots of healthy choices - and a cute store filled with local goodies! Shells will make you smile!

Called in here on a cold January evening , place was very busy & we have to wait a short while for a table. Well worth the wait . I had the most beautiful bowl of soup which was perfect. Lovely staff & great food . Will call in again next time I'm there
