We came here to check it out after the reviews on here. The interior is really nice although we were hoping for more relaxed meal it was more like a restaurant but lovely all the same. There was a nice choice on the menu. Myself and my husband had piri piri prawns to start which were delicious and a big... More

We had evening dinner here having looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed, I had the sirloin steak and my partner had the chicken curry. Large portions of well cooked food. Beautiful interior , friendly staff , reasonably priced, but most important to us, the staff made a fuss of our little boy ( 14 months old).... More

We stopped for a drink and dinner in the Fiddlers Elbow in Carrickmacross. The interior is somewhat unexpected given the name - we anticipated a more traditional décor but the gothic theme is well carried through. We enjoyed a drink at the bar where Mark served us and we enjoyed a chat with him before opting to stay for something... More

Giving this a 3 star purely because the food was lovely and big portions for the cost. Was looking for somewhere nice for Sunday lunch and someone recommended the fiddlers bistro. When we arrived it was unclear whether we were to wait to be seated or to find somewhere ourselves. All staff were running around busying themselves however I manged... More

Came across this restaurant on Trip Advisor while driving near Carrickmacross and decided to have dinner here. Such a delightful experience. It was early so it wasn't too busy. Karl and two ladies were working. Lovely staff. Friendly and helpful. Just what we needed after a long drive The decor and ambience was lovely inside Dinner excellent and reasonably priced... More

We had a lovely meal here. The 3 course set menu was beautiful could not fault it. The prawn starter was delicious. Service was excellent also. They had live music on too which added to the atmosphere.

Warm castle-like atmosphere and most excellent dinner! The duck egg roll appetizer was awesome. The salmon with asparagus and bernaise and side of potatoes gratin, delicious. And sticky toffee pudding for dessert...yum! Our waiter, Carl, was very friendly and engaging. We couldn't have asked for a better finish to a cool, misty day, our final one after a grand eight... Just had my first visit here with my mum. The staff made us feel so welcome especially Mark and Kate and another bar man that I didn't get his name. We both had Cajun wraps made by Hanna and they were absolutely delicious, the best we have ever had. Can safely say we will definitely be back very soon. The... More
