Maguires is a great place to meet someone for lunch, but get there early it is very busy. They specialise is fresh, healthy options. Staff are very good and prices are reasonable.

I was staying in the delightful B&B but steps away from this place. Since the lady of the house was gone for the weekend, I had breakfast, and maybe lunch here a few times. 'Twas a pleasure. I'll be back again. I even got postcard there...and, as a tour guide in Washington, I was amused at the tourists who came... More

I am a local person to Tara and somewhat of a regular customer to Maguires. I decided to head to Maguires yesterday with 3 of my children and 2 German friends that are over visiting. We choose to sit outside as it was a very mild day. On ordering from the menu I was asked if I would like to... More

Very popular spot with locals. Tourists just flock here anyway. Excellent food and service. Great spot to reward yourself after a long walk around the hill.

Often call in here when in the area. It can be busy but is worth the wait. Wide range of meals and sandwiches, wraps etc. Wines and beers available. Lovely selection of desserts. The bread served with the soup and other dishes is gorgeous and can be bought by the loaf. Deals available on tea/coffee and scones/muffins for take away... More

Maguire's cafe is a very busy spot but then it does have a captive audience!! It is located a very short distance down from the Hill of Tara. There is also a small shop linked to the cafe and indeed some of the tables are located out in the shop!! Strange. There was a queue for tables but do note... More

Just after visiting Hill of Tara with a friend, we decided to have a coffee/tea and a scone. The nearby Café was pretty busy when we entered, particularly as a group of Spanish visitors (5 or 6) where having their coffee just before us. We paid at the counter, where a lady was taking the orders. Meanwhile three waiters were... More

Busy spot at the hill of Tara. Waiting staff friendly, but young and inexperienced to handle such volume of people. We came in a side door and found a table, not realising that there was a queuing system going on out front. I was asked to leave snd queue out front, as if I knew what was going on, in... More

Our tour guide brought us to Maguire's for lunch and it was both quick and delicious. Nice wraps and sandwiches, homemade soup, and atmosphere. There is also a gift shop.
