First visit here last night on a friends recommendation. It's no surprise to see that the restaurant is number one on Tripadvisor as it was literally as good as it gets! Lovely decor and tables not packed on top of one another. Staff were welcoming and spent time explaining all the different dishes to us. House wines were really lovely... More

My husband and I dined here in July and promised ourselves we would come back again in August. The Beetroot cured Salmon with horseradish snow and mayo, topped with micro herbs from the Baytree's own garden was delicious. On the second occasion I had Gravelax Salmon, horseradish snow, potato chips and pickled cucumber. The presentation was like a picture on... More

Couldn't fault a single thing about the 3 courses I had in this place, food was a delight! Super fresh and local ingredients, some grown out the back. Server was very friendly and professional, going through a lot of the menu with us. Great atmosphere too; small, cosy and nicely decorated.

4 of us dined here during a short stay in Carlingford. The quality of the food was excellent but the menu was restricted . One of the set menus given to us was not available meaning the waitress had to come back to take our order. Definately under staffed with drinks delayed and obvious frustration by the two staff was... More

We were in Carlingford for a 2 night stay and we ate in the Baytree on our second evening. There was an excellent menu with a good range of food for all 3 courses and they were offered at competitive and reasonable prices. The quality of the food was excellent with a good choice of both fish and meat. The... More

Folks come to Carlingford for lots of reasons, but on a summer weekend the majority are here to party. My wife and I booked a table at the Baytree for the evening sitting on a Saturday night. The Baytree is a wonderful oasis! This is a busy and very well run restaurant and we were made feel very welcome on... More

We have lived in Carlingford for 10 years and have never managed to visit the Baytree till last night; we will be back it was excellent. however it was disappointing that there was only one vegetarian option on the menu for starters and one for main course. If this changes regularly this won't be a problem but it would be... More

Description
We are a beautiful little personal restaurant right in the center of a Medieval Village called Carlingford. Co. Louth. We provide a wonderful array of beautiful meals... Carlingfords only Michelin rated restaurant. We also have 7 beautiful B & B rooms located on our premises. We serve not only the freshest of produce, fish, meats and everything else on our premises. Our poly tunnel supplies us a lot of the year with fresh herbs, salad leaves from our garden which is also on site. We serve freshly ground coffee and lovely cups of tea in the morning and it is a delight to walk through our little garden on a summers evening. We have 2 private function rooms which can hold up to 40. Christenings, Communions, Birthdays, all occasions, specializing in our service for pre-wedding meals.
