Great place to meet, eat and chat..... First impressions weren't great as five of us stood at the tiny bar in the reception area and were ignored by bar staff blatantly. Eventually shown to our table which I gotta tell you was a proper great big square wooden centre piece that we could all sit round with plenty of elbow... More

This is a great restaurant, food very good, service excellent. Decor a little dated. We had hake, steak burger, supreme chicken all dishes very good.

This is in my opinion the best restaurant in swords. The food is fab and the prices are so reasonable. They also do great specials. The staff are amazing and helpful. The menu is extensive with something for everyone.

Popped in between lunch and early bird menus and given the choice of either. I had a delicious huge caesar salad to start followed by a huge club sandwich. Very pleasant efficient staff and very tasty food.

Second visit over a few years, recalled that then it was average, so we wondered why the hype... Had we missed something? No, this place underwhelms and supplies a service which is just not living up to anything I've observed... On arrival shown to a very pokey table to which thankfully one of the managers replaced the awful old and... More

Popped in at lunch time. I was not hungry but hubby as usual was, he had their Chower. Loads of fish in it, sauce was yummy, hubby never shut up about how tasty it was, came with some lovely bread for dipping, he also asked for some potato skins to go with it, got chips with the skin on, not... It's been a couple of years since I've been here. They've altered the menu slightly but it was still top notch! For starters I had the ham hock croquette and my friend had the prawns. Both very tasty. I had the lamb shoulder for mains...melt in the mouth. My friend had a he ribs, a massive portion! One tiny tiny... More

Staff were friendly but having ate there before & really enjoyed the food I was disappointed this time round, goats cheese starter - way too much cheese - lamb main was very small! Burger & fries was expensive for what it was & they served rather large chunky chips, not what we would call fries

Description
About Masterson's ... Masterson's Steakhouse opened its doors in May 2009. After training in hotel & Catering Management, which included a stint in the famous Ballymaloe house and three years learning the ways of some of Chicago's most famous eateries, we decided the time was right to open an American Style Steakhouse. Upon Arrival we took apart the interior of the original shop, an Italian Restaurant, for refurbishment. We closed for 4 weeks and reopened on the 5th of May. The intervening Seven Years have been a fantastic adventure, a lot of our original staff are still with us, supplemented by some fantastic people who have joined our project since. All of our Steaks our 100% Irish and fully traceable farm to fork. Our salads are all sourced fresh from the farms of Rush, our vegetables also when the weather is good enough ! We have a full breakdown of nut allergies, available from chef upon request, which is also on view outside the kitchen. All of our Sauces are Gluten free, we have gluten free bread, Pasta and Pizza. We are proud to be associated with The Nutrition & Health Foundation and the Restaurants association of Ireland. The initiative is designed to enhance the range and portion size of nutritious meals available to families in the Restaurant setting. We continue to strive to be the best, to put only the best produce on your plate & to offer an experience like no other !
