They are so good you will get addicted! They also have a vegan burger but I haven't tasted it because the hot dogs are so good that I always have a vegan hot dog when I go there. The service is really good, its cheap...and you can order and eat in your car.More

We have stopped here once a day for a quick cheeky feed and never disappointed. Food is extremely affordable by icelandic standards, super delish and the staff are very cute. Recommend the normal hotdog, deep fried hotdog and steak sambo. Even the locals go nuts...for this. Has to be a good sign.More

We were told by more than one local that the place to go for great hotdogs was Pylsuvagninn. They were correct. What fun hotdogs with great toppings and choices of either fresh or roasted onions.

Listen, I'm not going to pretend that they're a health meal option - but they have so much rich flavor and weird toppings - you have to try it! Get the one cut up and fried, or the normal one with doritos on top, or...just the cheese and shallots ... go wild. Tell the lady making yours that you want something crazy that will explode in your mouth, and let them just decide what that means. Also grab a side of fries ;)More

Came here for hot dogs in the limbo between lunch and dinner when none of us were starving so the snack was the perfect size - service was quick and food was tasty

Hot dogs. Hot dogs in Iceland. What could be better? I was told the reason hot dogs are an Icelandic tradition is that in early days there was no meat storage, so sausages became a big thing here; also, Iceland does not permit livestock importation,...so all hotdogs are locally and freshly made. If you're driving through Selfoss, or even within an hour of it, which you will be if driving Iceland's famous Ring Road, this is a must stop. It's better than Bæjarins Beztu in Reykjavik...a testament is all the locals lined up here. Their basic dog with the special sauce is the way to go.....but the deep fried dogs must be tried once in your life (which will be a little shorter because of it....). My husband told me that when I bit into the deep fried with Doritos my eyes rolled up in my skull in sheer pleasure, and I'm sure it's true, but a few bites each time is enough! We make certain to come here every time we are in Iceland. This is a small stand with a little bit of standing room inside and several tables outside, but if it's raining or snowing as is often the case in Iceland, you may want to takeaway. There's easy parking most times of day. Enjoy!More

Must eat if you are in Selfoss. Delicious and big portions fish n Chips, the hotdog is even better than the famous Reykjavik Hotdog. Its a takeaway store, you can buy it and enjoy by the riverside.

If you are trawelling to Selfoss then you must go to Pylsuvagninn at the end of the bridge. The Hot Dogs are just outstanding and try the deepfried one.

The hot dogs there are just heaven :) Try yourself I think you will agree. I take mine with raw onion and everything but you might like it with fried onion but who knows ?
