Great atmosphere, good bar, great service, and really delicious food! My wife and our friend had wraps which were HUGE and very delicious! I had the chicken burger that was seasoned with creamy cole slaw and came with potato crisps cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Try the deep fried oreos! Wow! But only after the Delicous burgers

This restaurant is extremely cosy and we walked in after trying to find somewhere to eat in Selfoss and were met with warmth and a friendly smile. We got a table by the window and it was really comfortable. The menu has so many choices. So go hungry and decide when you get there! Lots for everybody’s different tastes. Burgers, salads, grill dishes etc. They also had a cocktail menu and plenty of beer and wine. I had the lamb and it was melt in the mouth! I had it cooked medium rare like chef recommends and it was simply amazing! Can I also say there was so much of it so I actually struggled to finish not due to taste but due to it being a good size portion. A side of a baked potato with cheese and broccoli (which by the way with Parmesan was the best I have ever tasted) made me super full. My partner had the chicken burger! Or should I say the monster burger! It was huge! He said all the ingredients like the salad and sauces in it were so fresh, it was like a dream burger. We could not resist the deep fried oreos! Never had these before and omg! They blew our minds! I would go back just for these! My waistline might not cope but I would be a happy woman! Cost wqs reasonable for Iceland as well! It can be very expensive for food but this was medium price and the food five star!

The lamb prime was nicely seasoned (a bit too much salt for me, but probably suitable for most people). The red-wine gravey was excellent. My wife had the chicken skewer, and it too was very good but could have used more sate sauce. Service, while friendly, was not very attentive. After our food was served, the server did not come back to see how things were. About 20 minutes later she returned and cleared our plates. My wife would have liked salt and pepper (none on our table) and more sauce.

We made a reservation in advance, as in previous reviews. We were there at 8 p.m. and waited an hour for our vegan burger and grilled salmon with grilled broccoli. The salmon was burnt on the skin side (black). There was a broccoli floret and it was cold. We spoke to the waitress and she told us it had to be like that because of the open fire on which it was grilled. Mmm, aha, so you couldn't eat it. The promised soy vinaigrette was unfortunately nowhere to be found. What a shame... The vegan burger gets 2 stars... the portion was sufficient. The ambience leaves something to be desired. The Viking beer was very tasty. 4 beers, a burnt fish, a vegan burger, a cold broccoli floret, 2 espressos = 100 EUR... Price-performance ratio is not quite right.

Ætluðum að gera vel við us in the occasion of women's day. We were shown to the table so close to the next table that we heard the people at the next table smack. I ordered lamb, bernaise sauce and séta kartolo en bağ um white garlic sauce instead of mustard sauce. Maðurinn minn pantaði lamb, Bernaise sauce and chips. When the food came vantaði sósuna hjá honum. I got lamb, garlic sauce and smaeli. I corrected it with the service desk and before I could finish it, she ran away with a smacking sound. I waited and waited so I decided to start meat. Almost ten minutes later, the sæta kartaflan arrived. I then finished with the meat. Tried twice to get in touch with her and not be able to. Náði onnäri og rétti henni diskinn and said this was unacceptable. Fórum svo í afgreðið og tá apkeði hún að rukka us fyrir full meal. I wasn't satisfied and said you would pay for my husband's meal and not mine þar sem I didn't get part of what I ordered. She started yelling at us, I asked for help and ended up talking to him on the phone. Hann var lijk skárri en svåndti að við borgúðum ekki mína meal. This girl should absolutely not be in service. The meat was good, a ég labbaði út vöng and pirruð. I don't like it at all. Þjónustulundin engin, hlapandi pårður hálf grítandi matnum í fólk. Awesome experience.

We came here for an evening meal on one of our final days in Iceland. As soon as we walked into the restaurant a waitress shouted rudely over to us. We realised we were supposed to have waited by the door instead of walking in. We asked for a table for 5 and she didnt respond, just sullenly wiped the table down. We waited patiently whilst she wiped the table and she then shouted at us again because we were supposedly in her way, (we weren't). She then shouted at us again for the same reason. After we had sat down, she kept slamming plates and cups down around us, making her feelings felt. The whole experience was so oppressive and we couldn't wait to leave. I can see from previous reviews that she has form for this kind of thing. We paid our bill, told the waitress what we thought of her customer service and left. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

Worst lamb meet ever

Ordered lamb fillet, 250 gram and french fries, medium made. The fries was ok, nothing special, but small portion. The Lamb fillet was not close to 250 gram, was over cooked, totally dried out, and worst of all, more than 50% uneatable fat. The restaurant deducted 20% discount, should have deducted at least 50%, very disappointing experience. I will never ever come back to this restaurant, I am so disappointed.

So my friend and I came in to look at the menu. It looked great. The girl behind the counter was welcoming, warm with lots of information. We told her we’d be back within the hour for dinner. We come back there was no one in the restaurant but one table she grabs the menus and goes to a table in the front of the restaurant. I told her I didn’t want to sit there that I wanted to sit in the back was it OK and she said well no, not really I don’t want the sit the back anymore , umm OK! so we chose a table on the side in between the back and the front. We ordered cauliflower tempura that wasn’t on the menu with a dipping sauce. It was really good. We both liked it my friend got a burger I got a vegan burger she said it was really good. She didn’t tell me it had onions on it. It had tomato lettuce, a really, really thin slice of cheese And onions and a mayo sauce I didn’t like the onions she told me that the Vegan burger wasn’t mushy but it was. I asked for French fries instead of potatoes she brought me potatoes I reminded her what I had ordered and she said OK I’ll bring it. 20 minutes go by and still no french fries. So I remindered her again. My friend, and I were in a deep conversation, she happened to have joined in on part of this which we welcomed initially but in the middle of it she said something that was I felt blatantly rude to my friend and at that point, I kind of didn’t want to be bothered anymore. I didn’t even eat half of the burger. She didn’t ask how the meal was and she didn’t question why I had eaten it. She just wanted to know if I wanted it to take away. We paid for our dinner, and as we were leaving, I saw her walk over with a dirty rag to wipe a table down with and that grossed me out . I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Walked in on a Thursday for a late lunch. Restaurant smelled delicious as we walked in, a good sign! There is a hostel adjoining the restaurant, with check in at the bar. We waited a few minutes to be seated, then walked through a bit to try and flag down a server, no one in sight. We seated ourselves at one of several free tables, waiting several more minutes before a server appeared. No welcome, just a stern scolding for having seated ourselves. I apologized and said we looked but she must have been busy. She walked away mid sentence. Fine. Point taken. The menu is short but rich, with a good selection of grilled mains, sides, sandwiches, and sauces. We were excited to try some rib eye, as our other experiences with Icelandic meats were exceptional. But the server didn't come back before we lost our patience. We left without ordering and had a fantastic fine dining meal at Samuelsson across the street instead. We didn't travel to Iceland to be treated like toddlers and ignored. Hopefully it was just a 'bad day'.

Belly Filler After Day of Exploring

After a day in Gulfoss, Geysir and Faxafoss, we ventured to Selfoss to get some dinner before heading back to Urridafoss. Krisp showed up in our Google search so we gave it a go. Quaint little restaurant within walking distance to everything in town. We got two entrees: Icelandic Lamb with béarnaise sauce and french fries (SO good with great flavor) and a Krisp burger (average but the crispy potatoes that came with it were delicious). Last minute add of fried oreos was well worth it. Also shout out to our waitress who made one banging espresso martini! Overall, suggest checking out this spot to anyone.

Delicious meal in Selfoss!

We had such a lovely meal - we ended up going back twice! As a vegetarian with severe allergies it can be hard to eat while traveling but the vegan burger was so tasty and fresh and the staff did a wonderful job accommodating my peanut allergy. My partner loved the burger he had as well. The staff was all incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed our meals!

Our experience was disappointing. This was the second time we went to Krisp and the service was not good, the first time was ok but the second one was a huge disappointment. The waitress did not know what was on the menu and forgot to bring some side dishes and the wine with the food. Also when we wanted to pay she had trouble taking the bill and splitting it into two parts, but we were 2 couples having dinner together. So compared to the price, the service was bad and we will not be going there again.

Me and my boyfriend went there for our anniversary dinner and had a great time, the staff were all so lovely. I had the grilled salmon which was amazing, the skin was crispy and full of flavour and the fish meat was perfectly cooked, I usually make my boyfriend taste food that I think is good but I told him he shouldn't even ask because he wasn't getting any, that's how good it was. He had a burger which was glorious, it was tall and the sauce was dripping off it, the burger came with small roasted potatoes which were great and I had fries with my Salmon, the fries were crispy and didn't get soggy by the time I finished them. We had chocolate cake for dessert which was great too and came with ice cream and strawberries. The decor was cozy and the low lighting was romantic. We loved it there.

We went for dinner on a Thursday night. Our group had pizza, fish and chips and cheeseburgers. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The fries were nice and crisp and the fish coating had a touch of heat. Service was efficient and friendly.

We had the good fortune to have had dinner at Krisp after a very busy (and fun) day of exploring the magic in Iceland Everything about Krisp was absolutely perfect from the friendly way they took our reservation to fit us in at two seats at the bar during a busy evening was very kind. All of the servers were friendly and professional despite being very busy, the decor and feel of the restaurant was completely welcoming and the food was superb. The steamed buns were delish as was the lamb! Not only was this the best dining experience we’ve enjoyed in Iceland, it was a memorable dinner by any standard. A big thanks to the owners and entire staff! Put this on your list if/when you visit Iceland
