We stopped in for lunch. Apparently there are two restaurants... a "bistro" on the left side and a "restaurant" on the right side. The menu is essentially the same for both except the prices on the bistro side are lower. Hmmm... wonder which one everyone chooses? There was one guy working everything for both sides, i.e. Seating, serving, checking out... More

We had the 3-course menu and thought it was very good. The restaurant is right on the shores of the lake, but it was night and dark (October) so we didn't have a view. And rainy, so no Northern Lights. The dining room filled up quickly! Our first course we had the Lobster Bisque with Arctic Char and Shrimps, which... More

We had read good reviews on this place before going on our holiday and wanted to give it a go! With beautiful scenery of Icelandic mountains and a lake next to the Fontana hot springs it's a perfect location to have this cute little restaurant! The staff were friendly and helpful although we did feel a bit rushed at times,... More

This is a definite must stop on the golden circle if you happen to be close by at meal time - the service was the best we had while in Iceland and our meal was just lovely. I had fish, and one of my friends had soup and the other a burger - we all really enjoyed our meals.

We ate there thrice in two days and that for a reason. Excellent ingredients cooked phenomenally well and served beautifully. The lobster bisque has deep flavours, the Arctic char (a novelty for me) was delicious and so were the meat dishes. For such a small place Laugarvatn is lucky to have such a great restaurant.

I went with two friends to restaurant Lindin in February 2017 and we were all very pleased with the food, the service and the surroundings. We had fish soup as a first course, followed by a lamb and then each tried a different desert. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend this restaurant and you should definitely try the lamb.

We visited this restaurant on an early evening in February on the recommendation of a gourmet guide picked up at the tourist office in Reykjavik. Definitely worth the drive we dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The infamous Swiss chocolate mousse lived up to its reputation. Luckily I chose the delicious lobster bisque for starters but My... More

Stopped here to view the thermal pool facilities and discovered this lovely restaurant - a great place for lunch. Pleasant low key surroundings. Choice of restaurant or more relaxed bistro - we opted for the bistro. The lobster soup was delicious served with bread and the reindeer burger was enjoyed by one of our party. Recommend for lunch.

So when you walk into this place you are given two different menus for the bistro and the restaurant. Which would be fine except there are loads of the same things slightly cheaper on one than the other. As far as I can tell you are paying extra to have tablecloths... We chose the restaurant in the end as there... More

We visited the restaurant last night we were staying near by. The owner showed his enthusiasm about the food he serves and his restaurant. He was happy to explain the dishes I detail and alter certain elements for us.. The food was beautifully served and tasted excellent. Yes the food was pricey even by Icelandic prices, but we came away... More
