The concept is already lovely: eat in a restaurant while watching cows in the nextdoor barn (behind glass). My boyfriend had the lamb filet and it was fantastic, the best he ever had and the best food he ate during our whole Iceland trip. My...beef burger was also very tasty. All and all we spent about ISK 20K (120 EUR) excl. tip for dinner for two including 1 beer, 1 wine, 2x starter, 2x main, 1x cake, tea pot and coffee. Not cheap but that's typical here and we loved the food. Reservations 1 day ahead recommended. The terrace outside is also nice but not so pleasant when the local lake flies are active in the summer.More

I invited my husband here for his birthday. We had heard good things about the restaurant and as it turned out they were all very true. We had a mixed platter for starter and for main course he had the lamb schank and I had...trout. The portions are big and service was very good.More

A fun restaurant, where you can observe the cows while having dinner . The food is good but not gastronomic. You need to reserve.

I had the burger and it was really good. A Great idea with the open view over the cows. The view is spectacular! I can definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Iceland.

Really different place, I loved being surrounded by cows, the meat soup we got was lovely but the service was soooooooooooooooo very slow even when there were only two tables with people on them, we spent far too much time eating one bowl of soup,...we were there for over two hours. I guess I would go back if I had plenty of time but this time, I was getting to be very annoyed. I recommend it for the experience tho.More

..Price is way too high unless you go for today's special. Hamburger is 3.500 ISK (22 EUR) and a cake 2.000 kr (13 EUR).

First time at this nice cafe/restaurant. Went for the lamb burger and swallowed it down with Kaldi lager from Árskógsströnd. We tried It he mozzarella with tomatoes and rye bread which was really good. I have tried lamb burger before in a different place but...this one outscores that one. What is the difference? To begin with the bread is totally different, more crispy. Then there is the kale, who dares to but kale as a side dish (very good with their local feta (we can not call it feta any more due copyright),then there are the potatoes. I am so happy to see potatoes boats in stead of this unhealthy french fries. Finally it is their local cheese which covers the burger. Never seen so much cheese on a burger. Pure delight. All facilities nice and shine with a good view. Remember to order a window view. When you come or when you leave you can always take a look at the cows. Will be back to try the other stuff.More

Had a lamb burger and a glass of the house wine for 18$ (Offer). Nice restaurant that makes a lot of their food on the farm f.x. the cheese.

We are there quite a few times and never reserved. We found the best time to arrive was just before 7pm.
