They have a three dish lunch menu for 30 euros. The menu included finnish food and would definitely recommend to order it. Good price and quality relationship and friendly service.

I have been to Sinne maybe 10 times by now, but never has a visit been more underwhelming. Let me get this straight, if I pay 200 euros for a dinner with wine I expect good food and good service, you delivered none of it!...We had the set 5 course dinner with wine. The first dish was beef pastrami and it was perfectly fine but after that it went downhill... Second dish was cold mash potatoes with mixed in smoked herring. On what planet is cold mashed potatoes a culinary experience? It was just unpleasant. Our main dish was entrecote with country fries. According to the menu it should have been 200 grams of beef. I did not carry a scale, but my piece was an entrecote cut in half, where I was served the fatty part. With the fat it was for sure less than 100 grams. As far as the fries goes, they were undercooked and bought ready made. The cheeses... I don't think blueberry jam is a good company for cheeses and it wasn't anything else. Two pieces of cheese and blueberry jam. Lack of fantasy and lack of understanding of flavour. Blueberry and cheddar, really?!? Dessert was sweet but probably the best dish of the day. Throughout the dinner the food was served before the wine. We ran out of water halfway through the dinner but it was never refilled. Total lack of attention to details which you would expect in a restaurant at Sinne's price level. It would also be beneficial for a restaurant if the waitress speaks any other language than Finnish, that is if you want to attract international customers. We will not come back to Sinne for a long time, if ever. There are other restaurants in Porvoo in the same price range with better food and service. Throughout the dinner the food was serveMore

Nice start for the new year at Sinne’s blini brunch. The starter buffet was filled with simple yet tasty dishes. Gravlax and small cooked potatoes were truely great and also mini bread rolls were fantastic. A cook went around serving the blinis and they were...also available at the counter for self-service under a heating lamp. Smetana was whipped, too thick for our taste. Red onion was chopped into really small pieces as it should. It would be a good idea to have black pepper mills in each table to add it on top of the blinis according to own taste and need. Salmon roe was served in small cups. Dessert buffet was a bit messy with mousse, frest fruit and two types of cheese: brie and Finnish blue cheese. Would have been nice to have one harder, strong cheese also. Good experience overall.More

Chef Kai Kallio and his team know what they are doing. Every season is great, innovative and interesting, combining local wild herbs and berries with traditional cuisine with lots of modern twists. I haver never gone out disappointed!

Apparently we were mistaken and went in, in the end this bistro seems to be overrated. Piemonte-risotto was too salty, it was sent back to kitchen. New portion of same risotto was somewhat ok, but portion looked (such as it's predecessor) like loose porridge. Scattered herbs were aesthetically weak performance and portion cannot be praised as beatifully built. Far from it. Beetroot risotto was mediocre/ok by taste, rice was actually optimally al dente. Nevertheless, that didn't help much, because of risottos porridgy texture and too big amount of salt. Chardonnay was patiently bubbly, pleasantly juicy and little bit applemarmaladely. Very good wine as the cheapest from the list. Interior of bistro was quite stripped and scandinavian, almost too hall-like. Wish: Less salt, better portion-building. Over 50 euros was too expensive for this disappointment.More

Sinne never dissappoints. You know how it usually goes in any restaurant: one or two menu items are great, but others mediocre? Well that is not the case with Sinne. If there is one thing that makes Sinne stand out from any restaurant, it is...that every single menu item is always, without exceptions, very very good/heavenly. I have visited the place many times for dinner, brunch, just cocktail, glögg/mulled wine, and so on. The food is always perfect: the menus are interesting but not weird; the tastes are super fresh and harmonious; wines are of high quality. Pricing is tolerable and there are often campaigns available. This time I visited Sinne with extended family on a Saturday afternoon. The others took the Porvoo menu and I took the Green menu, because I was interested with the fresh black truffle risotto and the lemon dessert. Everyone was super happy! What needs to be done, however, and this is NOT Sinne’s fault: the nearby burger joint Bondai in Taidetehdas building fills the air of the whole Taidetehdas building with awful greasy, stale smell of burning, and finds its way into Sinne also.More

We are on this restaurant’s mailing list and a couple of times a year there are ”2 for the price of 1” -offers, this time for the 3-course autumn menu. The food was delicious. Only minus for the starter soup which was only lukewarm, not...hot. The taste was excellent even so. We took the wine package and the tastes went together with the food especially well with the main course (salmon, also meat would have been available) and dessert. The dessert was absolutely beautiful with the pink wine, and salty caramel was a perfect match with lingonberry mousse. Service was professional. The restaurant itself is very nice, loved the green walls with plants! The scenery from the windows not so nice, facing the street and a construction site. Great localish food with good wines - definitely worth a visit!More

I brought the car to Lexus service at 9.00 o'clock. Later in the middle of the day I drove with a replacement car to the City of Porvoo, took a short drive in the town and went then for lunch in Bistro Sinne. The lunch...was good and the atmosphere cosy.More
