We had an ok dinner, this is a nice place by the sea. I was, however, expecting a bit more from the seafood table (have had much better for example in Reposaari) plus the menu was quite limited and quite highly priced taking into account the food quality. Hanko menu was nothing too spectacular either. The tables were placed side by side so no covid restrictions in table placing taken into account. The waiter forgot to bring the dessert I ordered, so the service was not top notch. The waiter also greeted us by the door straight by "do you have a reservation" so no intro by anything as simple as a welcome... You pay mostly for location here, this is no 4 or 5 star restaurant. Ok, but not fabulous.

The location is nice itself, especially when sun shines and light breeze blows to your face:). Portions are quite small and it’s a bit more expensive than the usual restaurant prices. Staff is lovely and really worth of visiting during the Hanko stay.

Our lunch in Origo was historical, since it was our first meal in a restaurant after corona restrictions were relieved.
We enjoyed Creme Ninon and House Venison Burger, which were both tasty and also aesthetic. It was not easy to recognize that the soup was made of fresh peas. Croissans with skagen were a nice addition. The burger was more than enough to satisfy your needs
It was a rather warm day and we sat on the terrace. When the occasional draft of air finished, it felt a bit too hot.
The service was OK.

We had dinner in Origo and it was a big disappointment. We were two adults and a child. When my husband and child got their food, the waitress asked me didn't I order anything! Well, yes I did but they forgot it. They promised it to come in six minutes but finally it took 15 minutes and the others had already eaten their food. And the food was not even good, way below average. The first waitress we had was really nice but the other was rude and didn't even apologize the delay of my food. She was also coughing all the time without keeping anything in front of her mouth. Quite annoying, especially during this corona epidemia. We will not return to this place.

I had a deer burger for lunch. The serving was fast but the meal was quite bland. Just the burger and some tastless fries and a little ketchup. The burger, ordered as medium, was burned to crisp from the surface and completely rare in the middle. This must be the worst ~20e burger I've ever had. Prices ar lunch time are way above avarage, while the quality of food was horrible. Finnish customers may also be surprised that commonly used lunch cards are not accepted as a means of payment.

We were very hungry two adults with three kids looking for hamburger meal. The only possibility at the quest harbour was Origo.
We ordered three kids hamburger (at a price 12,80 eur each) and two hamburgers for adults at a price of 26,50 eur.
It was a quite big disappointment because of two reasons. One was that the waiting time from ordering to get the meal was about 45 minutes.
Second one was the quality of the very expensive adult hamburger...we couldn't see any bigger difference compared to the kids versions. You can get better burgers from a small barbeque kiosk!
Only one star and mostly because of friendly service.

Seafood buffet was a joke, paid 35€ for dry-burned potatos and 3-4 different fish’s and one green salad. Bread was dry. We also ordered burger for main course, and waited it for 45min. Service was slow and dirty plates wasn’t collected. Huge pricetag, can’t recommend.

We went off-season, and came back during our weekend getaway as it was so nice! Firstly the atmosphere with all the candles is wonderful. Prices are quite reasonable, and they have a great Hungarian red on the wine list. During our first visit we had the shrimp, venison and cranberry dessert. Everything was good, maybe some uneven cooking on the venison (smaller filets a bit over) but it was still delicious and the pieces that were well cooked, were perfect. We came back for lunch to have salmon soup and seared elk, both delicious. Service was fast, sometimes too fast.

We had a late lunch with family of three. Terrace was approximately half empty but the two waitresses kept potential customers waiting on the door. Service was really bad all the way and we were made sure we were not welcomed, seemed actually that all the customers were only on the way for the waitresses. We saw at least ten customers leaving the door before even getting any contact and a few more after the first rude contact.
Food was mediocre, very small portions. Would not recommend.

Second visit after a long time. I went with my family for dinner, unfortunately the terrace was full sure to the great weather, so we eat inside, also very nice interior but not as summery. Everything we ordered was really good, starters, mains and desserts. It was very nice to see nice options for kids, which many of this kind of restaurants prefer to skip. My son really enjoy his dinner. Service was impeccable, and overall feeling is that price quality ratio is very good. Highly recommended!

We ate TRADITIONAL SALMON SOUP.
Salmon, potatoes, onions, and fennel in creamy fish broth, served with house archipelago bread and butter. Lactose-free and available gluten-free.
Good. The place is nice.

The Origo was the best restaurant in Hanko during the time of the old owner. I wanted to give an old favorite another chance. But it just doesn't work, the restaurant has become soulles.
The food still tasted good, but the portions lack passion. In addiotion, the fish and steaks are really small in size. Prices have risen again. The whole is not balanced. The staff is friendly but the kitchen is really slow. Even though the restaurant was half empty, we had to wait an hour for the food. I would have visited today 13.11 for lunch again, but the restaurant is closed until summer 2024. Luckily, the are also restaurants that serve food in Hanko

Was a big disappointment. Web site promises local tasting menu, was not available and waitress didn’t even know about it. Main items missing from the menu (e.g., pepper steak was not available and fish was different than in the menu). Also many of the wines were not available. Seems like kitchen had quality standards up though (hence 2 stars) as what we got was good. Service was slow, not professional, but friendly. Would not recommend.

I visited Origo with my two friends during the week night. We all had the same starter, scampi in parsley-garlic butter. That was the best scampi starter I have got in 50 years – I have tested numerous of them! We all opted for the roasted white fish as a main course, that just continued in the same excellent line. The fish was divine, great compliments to the kitchen! Only wish as a personal taste I would have opted for a more generous hint of the horse reddish. We enjoyed both dishes with a beautiful Albarino. Buttermilk pudding with berries was a delicious conclusion for the dinner. We were lucky to be looked after by a sommelier, who helped us to match the wine with our food.

Nice enviroment but they did not have all meals available which were on the days menu. They informed half an hour after our order that we cant have what we wanted. We changed our order and then after one hour we got first two meals. Then it took 20 minutes when we got third one and then it took next 20 minutes when last two arrived. It was also bad that we have one 11 old child with us and he was last one who received food. Meals was quite ok but eg. Very slow motion kitchen even restaurant was half empty. Food was ok. Never again
