This restaurant is hundreds of years old and retains its charm, but isn't dusty or dirty in any way. Service is good, food is good, and there are plenty of patrons. I recommend the fried fish, a la carte.
Eating at Weis Stue is an absolute must in Ribe. Entering the small front room is liking stepping back in time, and it is super cosy to sit there on a chilly October evening and look out through the small windows onto the Cathedral and...Dagmar Hotel. Service was slow but friendly, which seems to be the case everywhere in this area. The traditional "Hakkebøf med bløde løg" was the best we've ever had.More
We came last night, one of us vegetarian. The service was rude and unprofessional but that can be redeemed by good food. Unfortunately the kitchen does the beautiful historic building a disservice. I think the chef may have dropped an entire tank of oil in...every dish. The vegetarian dish was tasteless, and the pasta and salad floating in oil on the same plate. We had spareribs which were also inedible, so salty our tounges were burning. No dressing on the side salads, dirty drinking glasses, meat floating in cooking oil. We left our plates mostly untouched, yet when we called the servers to take our plates away they did not ask whether we enjoyed our meal. We had to ask for the bill twice, and we overheard the staff be rude to other guests. Go elsewhere.More
Great location by the cathedral in one of Ribe's oldest buildings. You can sit outside under the umbrellas or inside in one of the charming crooked rooms. Rich menu with traditional Danish treats. We had lunch, mainly plaice and herring, which was wonderful.
This is really the place to visit, if you want the atmosphere of old times Ribe. Very cosy rooms and with excellent traditional danish food, this is the place to visit. There are "very traditional" hotel-rooms too, which you should try, if you have the...opportunity.More
