Had a gorgeous dinner in Dalgans, 2 adults and 2 children (8), staff were extremely friendly and professional and food was delicious. We were visiting the area so delighted to find this great bar. Very child friendly as well.

While its now under new management and have updated their menu they have got it right. My wife had salmon and I had a steak. Both were done exactly as requested (salmon was moist and the steak cooked rear). The selection of vegetable were good....Overall a lot of food. I'd highly recommend it. A point of constructive feedback to the management.... I always like to see a "smaller" menu selection..... helps to concentrate on quality. As usual the staff were very present. I'm defiantly going back and I'd highly recommend it.More

During these days of Covid-19 we had a stay-cation family holiday close to Ballyhoos which was central enough for us to visit Galway, Westport, Strandhill and a little further Achill Island. When we were passing through Ballyhaunis we spotted this restaurant. Looking at the menu...it looked like what we would like and the value seemed great as well. We were socially distanced correctly, all precautions taken with hand sanitiser etc, staff were very friendly & professional, respectful of social distance with PPE on as required. Seeing the tables been cleaned and Menu's sanitised relaxed us to enjoy our evening. We had an outstanding meal, food was excellent and very good value for money. We were so happy overall food, service, hygiene that we booked for another two evenings during our local stay. I would recommend this restaurant should you find yourself close to or in Ballyhaunis.More

We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the very attentive staff. Didn't have to wait long for service and the food was served to everyone at the same time. I had the salmon which was delicious and my daughter had the prawns which she said...was lovely and fresh. Would recommend.More

Well I visited the Dalgan as I was passing through from knock, after a mini pilgrimage you could say. I arrived and was seated promptly and given a menu, I settled for the beef. It was nice. The decor is very extravagant and it’s clear...the price of a good farm of land was spent on it, very impressive. The toilet was clean which was pleasant but I don’t think it was too clean when I was finished with it,! It was a nice experience.More

In the area there are lots of pubs etc serving good food and plenty of it so this is a little different and on the whole we had a decent evening-it was very quiet and the service was ok I had the pork chop which...unfortunately came with a curdled sauce; in fairness they tool the price off the bill but that shows that perhaps it's not busy enough to warrant the chef cooking more I'd like to try the early bird offer so perhaps next time will do thatMore

My husband and myself stopped there on the way back from Knock. Really nice food, lovely presentation and good service. Early Bird Menu is excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend this place .

Friendly staff, lovely food but very slow service. We waited nearly half an hour for our lunch to arrive and the place wasn't busy.
