We were looking for a place for lunch while traveling and Nick’s met and exceeded our expectations. It was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. Food was very good! Fresh and well-seasoned. We shared the 2 meat combo with pulled pork and sliced brisket. Both...meats were tender, lean and tasty. Sides were also very good. Service was courteous and fast. Our server checked on us several times and made sure we had all we needed. A very enjoyable reprieve while traveling.More

Folks seated after me got waited on. I finally had to flag down an employee to get my server. Ordered fried-tomatoes as appetizer. The tomatoes were lukewarm but OK compared to what was coming for my entree. The breading fell off and was lacking seasoning....Catfish was too thinly sliced and not hot … more breading than fish. Fried okra was cold. Greens were flavorless, mushy as in reheated too many times, and lukewarm.More

We were looking for a Good local restaurant before Little Rock, and boy did we find it! This place looked clean and it was! The food was great! We had the fish and barbecue plate and the small fish plate between two of us and...had leftovers. Our waitress Whitney (we’ve seen her name before in your reviews) was awesome. She helped us decide what to order and came back and checked on us throughout the meal. I think she’s familiar with road travelers and their needs. We left stuffed after splitting a fried apple 🍏 pie and ice cream with coffee chasers. I’d go back every week if I lived in this area. Oh! And I can’t go without mentioning the pickled tomatoes! Try em! You’ll love em!More

Stopped in for a late lunch. The place was still packed with people, which I would say is a great sign. Lots of parking surrounding the restaurant, plus truck parking available. A clear hot spot for both locals and travelers. We were seated right away....Decor inside was great. Server did a great job. Those girls were working their tails off, sometimes even half running to get things done! Food was amazing, with large portions. We were stuffed! They do serve the BBQ with sauce already on so make sure and specify if you want it on the side. Bathrooms were in great order and clean. Would stop again if in the area in a heartbeat!More

Saw the ads off of highway. Reviews seemed pretty good. Decided to take a chance. Good grief, I wish we would have kept driving. I have an adult special needs son. They seated us right next to a table that had a huge beverage spill...on floor. I was so worried my son would slip on it. No one cleaned it up the entire meal. Servers would look at it and just walk around. We tried the sauce before meal. It was horrendous. It tasted like someone dumped a pound of chili powder in vinegar. I asked for a different sauce they said it was house made and only one choice. When my meal came , my meat had a ton of the disgusting sauce on it. The onions rings had the breading falling off and were so pale because they were not even cooked. They only give you 3 onion rings with meal by the way. Do not expect decent portions here. The server brought me some more meat with no sauce. The meat was so dry, it was like the Sahara, which is probably why the first plate had so much sauce. To cover up the way over cooked meat. When my server asked how my meal was- I said terrible . She said oh well sorry about that- here is your check. Could not get out of there fast enoughMore

We were driving from Memphis to Texas and stopped at Nick's only because we saw the billboards on I-40. What a great place. Honestly, the billboards look cheaply made, the outside of the restaurant looks a little run down - like a place you would...ordinarly pass on by for a newer eatery. But it is clean, busy ( in a good way ), the service is fantastic, the people are so polite. The food is great; we had catfish, a burger, and bbq, all good. In the lobby, there are signed pictures of celebrities, from Jeannie C Riley (Harper Valley PTA) to Pink. You really need to make a trip to Nick's if you are hungry and in the area.More
