I love the diablo shrimp meal at this place and I haven't had an entrée I didn't enjoy. They have beer and margaritas and Mexican coke in a bottle. My Mom had the steak and shrimp meal and had enough leftover for a second meal. I definitely recommend this place.

This local Mexican restaurant offers good tasting food. Most dining is inside with a table on the outside. A small size establishment with tables in two rooms. Wine and beer is served also. Good portion size. Steak quesadilla-delicious.

My wife and I decided to try El Zarape after a review that I read on Trip Advisor. To say that we were not disappointed would be an understatement. We have lived in Yuma our entire lives but were not aware of this location. We dined at the 8th Street location. From the moment we walked through the door we... More

This place is awesome, thank goodness for tripadvisor. Never would have found this place. The server was fantastic, my son had no idea what he wanted since he has never had Mexican before. The server helped him decide on what he wanted and would truly enjoy. Before we left the place was packed and I can understand why. We got... More

This is an artfully decorated, simple Hole-in-the-Wall. Their fresh salsa leaves a little residual spice on your tongue; the chips were freshly fried but had a stale grease aftertaste. My chicken enchiladas had a unique, grilled "blackened" flavor, but were a little salty; unfortunately, they didn't taste like "Mexican food" (unlike the rice and refried beans, which were good). The... More

We were traveling from San Diego to Phoenix and needed lunch by the time we got to Yuma. We found this restaurant on line and chose it because there is a place similarly named in San Diego. We were greeted and seated quickly. I had the two cheese enchiladas and my spouse had a combo plate as well. The food... More

Read all the reviews and thought I'd try it. 1st order was the General dinner; good portion, beans were good but the (fake)tortilla was horrible. The rice tasted as if it was white rice sprinkled with seasoning,No Bueno! 2nd order was Caldo de res; I think the picture says it all, 2 pieces of meat, flavorless and the cup was... More
