Having dined at some of the best restaurants in California, New Mexico and Las Vegas, I consider The Turquoise Room in the top handful. This James Beard, award winning restaurant will please almost any palate. With an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, from spices and vegetables to the pork and lamb, there is something fit for all tastes. The Hopi... More

Wow, the unique menu and execution are delicious. The stuffed squash blossom appetizer is to die for. The Wild, Wild Platter is amazing. And you HAVE to save room for the chocolate souffle with Grand Marnier chocolate sauce - heaven. The staff is very well trained and the waitress uniforms with a nod to the Harvey Girls gives historical context... More

We arrived late in the afternoon after a LONG drive from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to the hotel and were very glad that we had made dinner reservations in advance as the hotel was full and it appears that every guest would be dining here tonight. We were greeted by a very friendly young host who seated... More

While staying at the hotel La Posada we decided to try the on-premise dining at the Turquoise Room. What a surprise! It was delicious. The choices were many and the preparations blended southwest traditional with unexpected spices and pairings. You must try the stuffed squash blossom appetizer which is deep fried with cheeses and tamale masa with a wonderful tomatillo... More

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in this lovely restaurant. While the service started out a bit slow for each meal, it was understandable as they looked to be short-staffed. For dinner, I consumed (with great gusto) the Wild Platter: quail, elk medallions and a tamale covered with hearty chile. My spouse had the pork dish which was tender and... More

Service was fantastic, the theme for the entire restaurant and hotel experience. So elegant and yet casual. My wife said it best, you feel like you are in someone's home. Truly gracious. The bar and the bartenders were our favorites. Great conversation, great setting and you can experience the workings of the restaurant. Everything is good but the best had... More

We usually visit La Posada and The Turquoise Room twice annually for 3 days each. Great hotel, great food, great train watching. We just left Sunday . Another great stay. Hotel owners continue to make small steady improvements. Restaurant owner has always been at the excellent level. Last Saturday at dinner I think John served up the best salmon dinner... More

While staying at the La Posada hotel, we ate dinner and breakfast in the Turquoise Room. It was excellent both times. The dinner was excellent. It is a southwest menu. Jan had the signature corn and black bean soup. It was amazing, the presentation alone requires you order it. I had a Fred Harvey speciality, a pepper steak and potatoes... More
