We stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, and had only a half hour to grab drinks and something to eat. We split a chicken quesadilla which was served quickly and was very tasty. They had a nice selection of local wines, and the bartender did provide samples when asked. That bartender was otherwise very unfriendly. When one of us... More

We stayed a the Grand Canyon hotel in which Spenser's is located. After dinner at a restaurant outside of the hotel, we decided that rather than just sitting around in our room we'd try Spenser's. It's a nicely decorated pub, the service was good and the specialty drinks were good.

I ordered a pizza with just Italian sausage, mushrooms, and peppers. The pizza i got had no peppers. Covered in olives!!! I HATE olives. I haven't seen the server in 30 min now. She is going to have my pizza redone..

The food was excellent. But, be ready to wait for it. We ate there twice and waited both times. They were very understaffed. No fault of the servers who were great but they were spread too thin.

This bar is in the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel that doesn't open until 4 pm. The bar itself is one of the most ornate I have seen. Having said that, there were too few wait staff for the number of people in the bar. Service was friendly, but slow. The bar menu was adequate. We went to the bar twice... More

Nice atmosphere but bartender wasn't very friendly. Seemed like she hated her job and you felt it. People you drink next to engage you in conversation though and make it a nice place for a nite cap.

Had dinner and quick breakfast. Staff was accomodating. Thought prices were kind of high for ala cart breakfast..i.e. $4 for self serve oatmeal. However my husband did have a great bloody mary!

This place has a great shepherd's pie. Our waitress said even people from Great Britain said it was better than at home. It has good prices on the rest of their happy hour/dinner menu. It's located inside the railroad hotel.

Had a cocktail one evening. It would have been more enjoyable had the bartender acknowledged our presence beyond "looking" at us to get our order. We sat at the bar and watched the staff and customer interaction--there was none. One couple entered the bar and were never acknowledged until one of them approached the bar to ask about seating. They... More
