Rustic, yet elegant. Service was ok, food quality was good, prices were high. You get what you pay for.

We just arrived in this town and stayed at the Hotel across the street because the Grand Hotel was booked and we thought, we would love to have a nice dinner at this beautiful Grand Hotel, however when we arrived at this "Steakhouse" almost no diners were there at 7pm in this huge space. We were wondering why? Live country... More

We ate at Canyon Star for dinner after checking into the hotel because it was convenient. They had live music which was nice and they were able to quickly seat our party of 8. Our waiter was nice and friendly. He was quick to get us drinks and to take our order. Food came out fairly quickly and all orders... More

We weren't expecting much based upon the other reviews, and the mostly-empty dining room on a holiday weekend. That said, we had a great time! Sure, the musician is just OK, but he was trying hard, and was not too loud for us to enjoy conversation. The meal itself was basic meat, starch, and veggies, but relative to other options... More

We ate here three nights while we stayed at the hotel and had a beautiful meal each night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the banjo player each night was great to listen to while we ate.

Came in hungry after driving 4+ hours. Had the angus burger. Was pretty tough. Didn't finish it because just chewing it was exhausting me. My companions felt the same about their choices of Nathan's hotdog and grilled chicken burger. One positive was the potatoes served with our meals. Another positive-grand canyon Pilsner.

Restaurant is a very large open room which was not even a quarter full at 8:00 pm. Lots of waitstaff but very poor service. Food was delivered to the table and no one came back to refill iced tea glasses or check to see if we needed anything. Waited 25 minutes for waitress to deliver the bill after we were... More

Atmosphere was great. Live music was okay. Food was excellent but over priced. The service was great. I did have the vanilla ice cream and cinnamon tortilla bowl. It was great

Huge dining room so little atmosphere. Food fair, steak quite good. Expensive for what it is. Cowboy singer entertainment was embarrassingly bad.

Both the restaurant and the adjacent saloon at the Grand Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona bring that old time southwestern sensibility to life with exposed timber, stone, ironwork and decor that's influenced by the area. The restaurant serves steaks, great barbeque dishes, Southwest-inspired foods and traditional western-themed fare.
