The food and service were excellent. They had a guy on stage singing and playing guitar, he was okay. The price of a steak was way overpriced.

Rarely do I agree with others that give bad reviews, but this place was an exception. We read the reviews and were hesitant but we were staying at the hotel and didn't feel like driving. We ate in the saloon section. The saloon menu is limited but we were not looking for a 3 course meal, just some basic grub... More

The menu is somewhat limited. While they say. They will accommodate a diet,if fact this means they will leave off the item you don' t want but not substitute or prepare any dish different from the menu. Vegetarian . Don't bother to go in Only a salad available. For our party, they did not bring one item ordered, charged for 2... More

Dined in this establishment recently-Had a bottle of Pinot Noir and steaks-Service was shaky as they looked understaffed-we were patient but when you order medium rare steaks and your waiting ...and waiting...I saw the floor manager Steven notice us looking around and stopped by to check on our situation-he said he'd go check it out-He returned with two perfectly cooked... Pricey, basic steak house fare. My husband's lamb was perfectly cooked. My steak was above average, but had fat/gristle in 1/4 of it. They don't do well with relaying information about allergies, so be careful. Once you mention allergies, they get rude and condescending and ignore you throughout your dinner. Large cowboy themed dining room. Had live music (wouldn't say... More

Having read the reviews we were afraid to attend this establishment but it looked so good we thought we would try. The service was great, the supervisors continued to check on us and the food was very good.

Ordered the above dish and thoroughly enjoyed it, with the tuxedo truffle cake. It was perfect. My partner ordered the salmon which was overcooked so we do not recommend that dish but everything else looks good, based on what we could see being served to the tables. This is one of the higher end restaurants for the area.

This resto exceeded my expectations for where it is and what it is. There is a singing cowboy which is enjoyable during your meal. The steak was good stuff and the kids steak is a perfect size for kids. All the other places I've Been to make huge steaks and kids only eat a third. The Caesar salad was definitely... More

Look, it is not a 5 star place, but for sure you have to keep on mind where you are! Which is the middle of nowhere. Took a little longer to get the food, but it was ok and service was good and friendly. The music and the singing cowboy was great. We were sad to see him go. Great... More

We stayed at the grand hotel and went to the canyon star for breakfast... what a mistake! The food was disgusting, the only type of tea they had was orange pekoe and the food was cold. The pastries were soggy and tasteless, the egg Benedict was cold and they didn't even have peanut butter to put on your toast. We... More

Description
Both the restaurant and the adjacent saloon at the Grand Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona bring that old time southwestern sensibility to life with exposed timber, stone, ironwork and decor that's influenced by the area. The restaurant serves steaks, great barbeque dishes, Southwest-inspired foods and traditional western-themed fare.
