New York steak tough, filet mignon chewy, and limited menu selection. Pricey. Service was good, waitresses pleasant.

Go somewhere else. ;-) There are better food options within Grand Canyon Park itself for much better prices. The atmosphere and service is nice, but the food quality and prices just don't make it a good pick.

We saw a variety of reviews, but were hungry, so thought we'd give it a try. We were glad we did as we were thrilled with our meal, and our server Angie was so sweet. She also gave us some great travel tips and suggestions...More

I'm surprised by the reviews here. My wife and I went there at 6, just when they opened. I had a pretty good NY Sirloin and my wife raved about the two petit filet mignons she ordered. Our experience was quite different than others.

Loved the ambiance. Felt like and upscale place, nice light and seating. The server was thoughtful and attentive. Having the musician was a bonus. Now the food --- they know how to smoke the meat, the chicken was tender and juicy and the lamb was...More

We were staying in the hotel and you would think that when they advertise breakfast hours from 6 AM to 10 AM when you arrive at 9 AM they would still be in full breakfast mode, especially on a Sunday morning. However, they were clearly...More

Overall there is not a lot of options in Tusayan but my friend and I figured we would be safe in a hotel restaurant. Effectively we were just charged a heap of money to eat dry food.

Before getting into the review about the Canyon Star, I'd like to point out that everywhere you go in Tusayan to get food is VERY expensive. Even the McDonalds down the street inflates their prices to about 2x what they would normal be. I suggest...More

Yes the restaurant is huge and has a separate are for buffet serving too. A table for 10 should be easy to accommodate.

Both the restaurant and the adjacent saloon at the Grand Hotel in Grand Canyon, Arizona bring that old time southwestern sensibility to life with exposed timber, stone, ironwork and decor that's influenced by the area. The restaurant serves steaks, great barbeque dishes, Southwest-inspired foods and traditional western-themed fare.
