Even though the decor is typical Mexican, the food is another story. The carne asana was inedible, very tough piece of meat. The guacamole full of citric acid, and the sopapilla very doughy.

Service was very slow. Food tasted good but got very sick after eating supper there. Was up all night with nausea and diarrhea. Watch your check. Menu prices do not always match what waitress puts on check.

When leaving the Grand Canyon after a day of hiking the Rim Trail and general sightseeing, we were looking for a place to eat that wouldn't break the bank. In a town that has the most expensive McDonald's Restaurant we were just hoping to find some decent food at a decent price. When we saw Sophie's Mexican Kitchen we decided... More

We driving back from Grand Canyon to Williams late in the evening and by the time we reach Williams all the restaurants will be closed, so we decided to have our dinner at this place. They had a big banner which said vegetarian Mexican food and we got excited. As we sat down and ordered our food they served nachos... More

Stopped there for dinner after a visit to the Grand Canyon. Good service. Food is nice and fresh and there is plenty of choice for every taste. Margaritas were excellent as far as we can remember! Reasonably priced given the very touristy location.

Service was great. Food not so much. Very pricey for ground beef tacos (would have preferred shredded beef especially considering the price) Rice not flavorful, beans just so so. Salsa tasted like it came from a jar. Chips were nothing to rave about. I realize they have to truck in the water but $3.50 for an iced tea??? Would never... More

We did the breakfast buffet. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit, and cold Danish not to mention cereal. Service was slow for our drink order and for paying the bill. We decided to eat at McDonalds the next day because it was cheaper.

Near the canyon there isn't that many restaurants to choose from. They are all pretty pricey. Our food was good. Service pretty quick. Great salsa. Great place for lunch.

Our family visited Sophie's Mexican Kitchen during our stay at the Grand Hotel Grand Canyon. It is just a few minutes' walk from that hotel, which also places it very nearby to the entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. With all these hungry tourists flocking around, Sophie's could have gotten away with hijacking prices or cutting corners on food or... More
