There are not a lot of options in Tusayan once you've passed over McDonald's and Wendy's. The concierge at my hotel recommended Sophie's for tacos so I went in on a Monday evening around 7pm (October). It was fairly crowded but I was seated right away. They bring you chips & salsa immediately. My server was also over quickly to... More

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food we had at lunch time here. My husband had chicken fajitas and liked them. I had a quesadilla, which I found to be delicious. The coffee was good and service was friendly and efficient. If we were looking for a place to eat again in Tusayan, I would most definitely... More

This family-style Mexican restaurant just outside the Grand Canyon Park provides good Mexican food at fair prices. The service was friendly and prompt. I would particularly recommend the carnitas.

I guess it's ok when you are hungry but I eat Mexican food a lot. I'm crazy for it and I didn't really like it there. I had quesadillas. The mararaita was nice though.

Compared to the Mexican restaurants we are accustomed to, Sophie's was very average. Service was a bit slow and the food was nothing special. The portions were good, but the price was typically high like other restaurants in tourist areas. Overall, it is an average Mexican restaurant and I wish we had checked the reviews before stopping.

Visited here after our grand canyon tour, and was welcomed by a friendly waiter. We had enchiladas which were a huge portion. Food was nice, and the place is obviously popular as it was getting very busy was we left.

Very good mexican food. In short vicinity of entrance to south rim of grand canyon national park. walking distance from most hotels in Tusayan.

Even though the decor is typical Mexican, the food is another story. The carne asana was inedible, very tough piece of meat. The guacamole full of citric acid, and the sopapilla very doughy.

Service was very slow. Food tasted good but got very sick after eating supper there. Was up all night with nausea and diarrhea. Watch your check. Menu prices do not always match what waitress puts on check.

When leaving the Grand Canyon after a day of hiking the Rim Trail and general sightseeing, we were looking for a place to eat that wouldn't break the bank. In a town that has the most expensive McDonald's Restaurant we were just hoping to find some decent food at a decent price. When we saw Sophie's Mexican Kitchen we decided... More
