Very cool restaurant in a toney town. Had Mexican food & salads for lunch. Very tasty. Attentive service. The lunch sized servings are plenty big enough and less expensive. A great tradition of the house is offering a $.50 shot of tequila for each entree ordered. Full-sized shot too. Interesting decor. Comfortable seating. Bathrooms are dark and basic. Cute gift... You know that scene...in Harry Met Sally....Sosa style will take you there. Sister had Sosa style shrimp. I had the steak. Both you can cut with a fork. It has this weird brown green sauce on it and hot cheese under the bottom. I'm weird about sauce. It's awesome. Don't be scared at all. Chilean Sea Bass is excellent. Our... More

This sit down restaurant was beautifully decorated. There is a shop attached where the decor items may be purchased. The service was excellent. Staff were professional and have clearly been serving for years. Drinks were perfectly mixed. The food was excellent. It is a wonderful surprise when chefs actually create food from creativity and not just to conform for a... More

Foods fantastic! Best filet we've ever had, and we like steak. Don't come here looking for tacos, nachos or burritos. Elvira's is more upscale, with a Mexico city flavor. From chicken Moles, Chilean sea bass and shrimp to Sosa style filet they are all great. On our most recent visit the cook lost or ticket and before we had time... More

Stopped here for lunch because of the rave reviews and boy was it delicious. We ordered from the light lunch menu and had more than enough to eat. My husband had the chicken enchiladas and I ordered the flank steak. Both were muy delicioso!!! Best chips and salsa I've ever had as well. Don't pass this restaurant up!!!

We had a very nice lunch at Elvira, the food was good and the service was good. Elvira is a little fancy and pricey but very good food.

This is a fabulous restaurant with great decor and even better food. We enjoyed Mimosas and mole for brunch on a Sunday; it was fantastic.

I would consider Elvira's a destination dining experience. We go straight for the Mole Negro & Chicken Mole Poblano. This is traditional Mexican food that is interesting & delicious, using well thought out recipes. This was our second trip & it was almost ruined by a booking at the Esplendor Resort in Rio Rico. We walked away from a night's... More

The Mexican food and the eclectic decor added up to a good meal. Were there on business. I had one of the Mole dishes and it was great. Very tasty without being overly spicy. The Guacamole appetizer was a bit disappointing. The Waitress was good but a bit distracted being friendly with another table.

Elviria's is my "go to" restaurant whenever I am in Tubac. It's a great Mexican restaurant offering a diverse menu and the food is absolutely wonderful! Don't miss enjoying their amazing Margarita's! The waitstaff is friendly and very attentive. I highly recommend Elviria's! Go and enjoy!
