When traveling to/from Mexico back to Oregon, I usually have a meal here after soaking in the nearby El Dorado Hot Springs. While the food isn't anything special, it's a good place to feed a hungry stomach.

Surprisingly good. Homemade salsa and homemade corn tortillas. Atmosphere is reflective of the area (middle of desert .... Firearms prohibited). We definitely recommend it.

We were so hungry we couldn't make it to the next big city and so we stopped in Tonopah, AZ and ate here. The chile relleno I had was one of the best I've ever eaten. It was stuffed with delicious ground beef instead of cheese but they put a lot of cheese and enchilada sauce on top. They used... More

Had dinner here while we stayed down the road at the El Dorado Hot Springs. This restaurant is a typical side of the highway southwestern place. The waitress was friendly and the place was empty. The food was good and the margarita was great! For such a tiny town (can you even really call Tonopah a town?) this place was... More

We happened to stop here driving east on US 40. My wife and I loved the Mexican food we ordered. The server was friendly and not McDonalds quick, but it didn't matter. The setting of the adjacent bar and the restaurant itself would be perfect for a Hollywood film set in the 1950s. My chile relleno was probably the best... More

Arrived to a nearly empty restaurant. No greeting either by person or sign. One lone server taking an order from a table of volunteer firefighters (I'm guessing) took forever. Upon finally reaching my table after 10+ minutes of waiting, server took my drink order but did not stay long enough for my food order. Brought me back an ice-tea that... More

Have eaten most of the mexican items on the menu and they are all quite good! Especially like the al pastor (spicy pork) tacos :-) The green salsa will lite up the unaware so be careful! The place could use some fixing up but the sanitation practices seem OK. Service is friendly and have met a number of characters in... More

About four times a week, I eat in Tonopah Family Restaurant. Each Friday my wife and I have a take out pizza from there. A year of so ago, when most of the reviews were written, yes, there were some problems with service, food quality, and condition of the building. I can assure you with complete confidence that the service,... More

We stopped in for a bite last weekend after a visit to the hot springs, in a word disgusting! The table was sticky the windows were dirty there were stains on the walls. It was gross! This was a nice place with good truck stop style food I don't know what happened but we'll never go back.

I went here not knowing what to expect. I understand it is an older restaurant but it is run down. The service was great but the building is in need of some major renovation. For instance, the doors to the entrance are crooked and do not close which was probably why there were flies all around, some of the seats... More
