We had a lovely breakfast here. The granola was the best I've ever had, clearly homemade. My husband had the tipico breakfast which he said we the best one he has had. They take great care and thought on how the food is presented. Also recommend the mint tea which comes in a large teapot.

Excellent, inventive food in a lovely, quiet garden setting. Possible to eat healthfully here. One of the best in town.

I'd heard great things about Cafe La Puerta, from friends whose judgement I trust. I went there first for breakfast. Waited over ten minutes for someone to bring a menu, or even show up. Went to the counter, no one around. Figured something must be up with the staff and took my leave. Came back a few days later for... More

It was great coming back to Cafe La Puerta and enjoy the delicious food and wonderful service offered in this San Pedro La Laguna establishment. We will be back Santos and Blake so have our Diosa Verde cocktails ready!

Most interesting menu in town! Great fresh mint tea, thoughtfully-prepared food. Saturdays are best because during the week, the lake-view palapas are used by the Spanish school, but on Saturdays they're available to diners. The staff is super friendly and I'm gazing out at an egret and a bunch of coots on the lake as I write this. An oasis... More

The Café is actually part of the San Pedro Spanish School. Every afternoon I would study here and have a snack. The nachos con guacamole is a favorite. The ladies cook your food right there and it fresh and tasty. I also recommend the Churassco, my favorite local dish.

Great smoothies, pasta, quesadillas, and vegan options available. Sit in the garden, inside or on the terrace.

Recommended by a friend, I went to this restaurant. Quiet, peacefull and easy to find, is a good option to skip the noisy-party environment that you find in San Pedro. The meat was really tasty and well cooked, so i would probably go back again

I've been coming in here for about 10 years. I still miss the old lakeside setting, but it's been under water for a few years. My prior review was slightly critical, because I'd felt the place had slipped a bit. But it's back. The food continues to be very good, but what I've noticed in particular the last few years... I went to try Cafe La Puerta because they had recently bought out Ventana Blue, which was my favorite spot to eat at Lake Atitlan. We were looking forward to a hopefully similar experience but left a bit disappointed with the overall experience. I got the Filet Mignon and asked for it Medium Rare. It came to me Medium Well...
