We were greeted by an uncaring/uninterested waiter, we were served an extremely poor fish dish and below average burger (we could clearly see the 2 cooks flipping food while chatting on their cell phones), but perhaps they assume they can be so lax as the...location is rather stunning. So come for the viewpoint, but then go and eat somewhere else.More

We were excited to have lunch in this beautiful restaurant. Fabulous view, colorful decor, and highly recommended. We ordered, and only a few tables in our area were occupied. Received our drinks, then he ignored us. All the other tables ordered, were served , and...left. A large tour group can in , ate and left. Almost 2 hours later we finally got our meals, which were fine. We tried three times to get the check , then finally got up to leave, and that got his attention. I pride myself on being a patient traveler, who does not expect fast food, and actually speaks the language. This is the only place in all of our journeys where we have ever had this kind of experience. Hopefully this young man has gone on to a career more suited to him.More

The mixed drinks were excellent but our dinners and deserts were disappointing. A restaurant that claims they specialize in seafood should never serve overcooked fish, and mine was so dry i couldn't finish it. They also are experimenting with Latin/Asian fusion recipes that lack subtlety...(i.e., the addition of soy sauce to a tomato sauce, pasta & shrimp dish). And their flan was over-thickened. However, if you're in the area, their location is a beautiful reason to stop in for late afternoon drinks.More

We had a great dinner at LaParsala and have gone there over the years without disappointment. The sunsets are always a spectacular appetizer, followed by a great dinner. The tenderloin is delicious beef with a fantastic light mushroom sauce. The fruit de mer was amazing!

The food is excellent here. Not a huge menu but with fish prepared this way who needs it. The rest of the menu looks great too. The location is great on a rocky peninsular with stunning ocean and coastal views to the North and South....We came back several times in our 3 week stay and will be back next year.More

We spent a wonderful afternoon at La Parcela, and we highly recommend it if you're traveling on the Southwest beaches of Costa Rica. Easy to find off the highway with good drinks and great food in an open air, comfortable environment. The staff is friendly,...easy going and helpful. We especially recommend their special Artisan Ice Creams. It's served as chunks in a martini glass, and it's delicious! Try the Green Magic flavor--coconut, key lime and basil--YUM!More

Lovely restaurant half way along a peninsula at the end of Dominical beach. The decor is pretty cool and adds to a relaxed vibe. There are sea views on two sides of the restaurant and a bar with half a dozen seats for the casual...drop in. The menu is pretty good and has some interesting fish dishes as well as a few local favourites. The highlight is the sunset which can be viewed from small dedicated platform which is a 40m walk from the restaurant. You will not see the sunset from the restaurant but you can walk down with your drinks and take in the view. We didn’t see any of the famous monkeys that other people have commented on. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.More

La Parcela is situated on a jetty out in the pacific. You will have amazing views of the ocean and a beautiful sunset opportunity. At 5:30 pm the monkeys that like in the area visit the roof and hang down to be photographed and feed!...Unfortunately the service and food is marginal compared to other restaurants available. I’ve been there at least 6 times over the course of a few years but no improvement. BUT it’s fun to take guest there to experience the views and the entertaining monkeys!More

We just had a drink here to catch the sunset! Very beautiful. And then... the Capuchin monkeys started to come down from the trees. There were 5 of them and they were so cute! Little thieves thou...they waited for the bartender to leave and then...tried to get some fruit from the bar... Looks like a nice place to have dinner. The views are amazing!More
