Kainoa's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town. They have a very diverse menu but I always alternate between the same two entrees because they are so good! Each entree is served with two sides - rice and the best macaroni salad I've ever had. You can also substitute a fresh green salad with a yummy sweet dressing... More

Kainoas is a great place, take out or eat in. The food is always good and consistent. The staff is friendly and courteous, as well as informative about their dishes on the menu. Kainoas, also reminds me of Hawaii. Yes, there are food trucks and other small places that have very similar dishes. I miss the Islands, I've visit 3... More

Thank you for your review. It makes my day when customers can make the connection between my place and the "Plate Lunch" shops in Hawaii. Mahalo More

Meals are always tasty here. I would eat here more if someone would clean the place once in awhile. The ceilings and walls and floorboards are so caked in dust and grime that it makes me wonder what the kitchen cleanliness standard is. You NEVER get greeted with a hello before you order, although they ARE very friendly it's just... More

Thank you for your review. We will use your comments for training. Our kitchen is visible from the dining area and we keep it very clean. During a rush it can get messy but never dirty because we are trying to cater to the customer and their limited time. Our average wait times are 5min or less even when we... More

Great for a quick lunch. Salads are wonderful, I love the Katsu chicken or Bulgolgi beef. The rice is just regular sticky white rice. The macaroni salad is great if you put a little pepper on it. The best part of this place is the smoothies. They are wonderful!!

I really like this place! this is the second time we have eaten here. We decided on a salad called Chicken Aloha. I was happily surprised that it was very good. It is served with a scoop of hot white rice. I not only found this odd, but I thought it would ruin my salad. I was wrong, it was... More

Think rip off poor quality L&L bar-B-Q. Service is painfully slow too. How long should it take to put pre-made food in a styrofoam box?!

Was not expecting such good food in a small town. Went here on the recommendation of a local and was not dispappointed. The decor is laid back, beach surfer theamed and the music they play is good classic radio. Wasn't sure what to order so got a 2 item to try different things and the pork had a great smokey... More

This is a Hawaiian-themed fast food restaurant. The food is excellent. In several visits, I have only experienced quality, flavorful offerings. The decor is kind of cool, with the menu printed on actual surfboards above the order counter and color choices inspired by surfing culture. Other than that it is typical fast food with hard surfaces that reflect noise and... More

Eaten here several times (beginning Spring 2014) and always have the Misoy Chicken with bacon and avocado (as a wrap, or as a green salad combo) - ask for the "orange vinaigrette" instead of the standard ranch dressing. Hawaiian smoked/roast pulled pork meat w a sweet, soy-based bbq sauce is also very good. Most sides are just OK, but rice... More

I say mostly good food because the service and food depend on the employees working. You learn quickly the ones that don't want to be there and that influences the service. The food is good. Sometimes the meat is over cooked and sometimes undercook. The majority of the time I go there the food has been good and the service... More
