So I couldn't resist. $6 glasses of wine and inexpensive apps 3-6. Cozy place! Also didn't see anyone mention that Wednesday is half price bottle wine night! Wow! Had yummy mushroom soup and butternut squash ravioli, the latter I would rather have without the cheese, very rich. Would rather have brown butter and sage? Suffice to say I had a... More

My wife and I had just arrived in Phoenix for vacation and were interested in a good Italian dinner. We opened TripAdvisor and found this local gem. Located in a strip mall you might otherwise pass this restaurant by, but that would be your mistake. Vincitorio's offers a good old fashion Italian dining experience. Our waiter was an Italian gentleman,... More

As an Italian who has traveled (and eaten) extensively in Italy, let me tell you this is truly authentic Italian food from the south, specifically Puglia and probably some Calabria thrown into the mix. For appetizer, we chose the calamari fritti and the posillipo. The latter is more or less seafood in a somewhat spicy red sauce that's a little... More

We are from Italy and we live in Italy for many months every year. We have tried many Italian restaurants in the valley and in other states and we always commented that they really did not even come close to real Italian food. Last night we ate at Vincitorio's and we were so surprised. We thought we were eating in... More

We've been visiting this lovely family-run, neighborhood Italian restaurant for several years. Mario Vincitorio is from Italy, trained as a chef there, and has a dedicated, loyal kitchen staff that he's been working with for more than a decade. The food is authentic, well-prepared, and truly delicious! The ambiance in the Enoteca (wine bar) side is amazing. Ginger (Mario's wife)... More

Normally when you see places in a strip mall you tend to pass thinking they aren't that good, well you would be sorely mistaken if you drive by this place. First off, I will say this restaurant gets really busy in a hurry. I made reservations for 5:45 on a Friday and by the time I had arrived it was... More

My husband and I went because we read some reviews online it said this was a good place for rehearsal dinner and we were scouting places out today and the bonus was this was some of the best Italian food I've had here in Phoenix. I had the trophie pasta with the pesto, which is a specialty we had last... More

Had a great time at this little strip mall gem. Excellent food, really nice atmosphere inside (deceptive from outside). Had one of the best veal Marsala ever, wife raved about her tortellini. Extensive wine selection. Waitress Marcie knew her stuff and explained menu and wine list, took great care of our party (professionally attentive). Lots of locals eating here and... More

The atmosphere is bested only by the food. This family owned and operated restaurant serves fine quality food at very reasonable prices. The decor makes you think you're in Italy and there is quality music most evenings that doesn't drown out your conversation. There is a separate bar so dinners have plenty of space.

We had a large party that gathered to eat after business meetings all day. The place was busy, but we had luckily procured a reservation. For a weeknight, the place was jammed, so I'd recommend calling ahead. The wine selection was very good and the food was also excellent. The veal was nicely done without being oversalted which seems to... More
