This place seems to emphasize the quantity of food that they serve vs. the quality. It doesn't stand up to the true New York deli even though that is clearly what they are trying to trade on. Expect large portions of food that is not great tasting or well prepared. Our server was poorly trained and spent too much time... More

I've been going to Chompies every time I'm in town. Started when my daughter turned me on to this restaurant for breakfast when she attended ASU. I'm a huge fan of the breakfast skillet - Van Wyck. There is so much goodness in that one dish you won't be eating lunch! Never had any other meal there besides breakfast!!

I was at a convention recently in Tempe and the group I was with wanted to eat here, being big fans of the restaurant. The food was good, but it was overpriced in my opinion, at least one other person in the group made a comment to that effect also. It seems to be a popular restaurant and everyone did... More

Have been going here for many years. It's as close to a NY style deli that you'll find in the desert. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I like that you can get breakfast all day. Four locations in the Valley so there's one near you. Also have great take home section both deli and bakery. There's a 20% discount... More

The food was really good. The location in Scottsdale is the best. We tried both locations. Our server Robert was attentive and quick. Corned beef was lean and food reminded me of home. Great food and memories of my past.

Was greeted by a young lady that was very rude. She acted more as if it was a hassle to put our names on the waiting list. I also then sat down and looked over the menu but the waiter just was extremely rude as well. The food was excellent, the patty melt with fries. The soup was great as... More

Went to Chompies on move in weekend for dinner. The place was busy, but not packed. TV's were showing Olympics, with the sound turned off. The restaurant was clean, but the men's bathroom was so-so. Service was good, and the food came out quickly. While somewhat expensive, the portions are manly (see photos). It looks like a great place for... More

The breakfasts are amazing. Huge portions and reasonable prices. A wide selection of options. The bagels and omelets are great. Breakfast is served all day.

Food was good, served quickly. Servers were friendly and appeared to be working hard. Large portions, definitely enough for two meals.

This place is a super legit place to eat. Lots of variety of breakfast foods like bagels and pastries! I had a plain bagel with cream cheese (I had a special kind, I can't remember which) but it was simply delicious. I'm pretty sure it was either Jalapeno or Chive! It was greenish or had green stuff in it, haha.... More
