The Indians Maori of New Zealand that eat a lot green leap mussels do not suffer from arthritis, because they eat a lot of green leap mussels, which are the only, for their content, that can fight arthritis. I discover that Villa Peru for his Peruvian dish "Choritos A La Chalaca" they use the New Zealand green mussels (Choritos=Mussels). The... More

Hands down some of the best latin-american food I've had (and I consider myself somewhat of a food snob, being from Chicago and all). Get the anticuchos and the chicha morada and you won't be sorry.

We've driven by this restaurant many times and never having had Peruvian food we decided to try it out. It was nice out and we sat on the patio. Looking over the menu there was a good selection for dinner, but the lunch menu was limited to 5 sandwiches. I decided to try the chicken and my husband wanted the... More

We are traveling to Peru in April 2016 and wanted to get our taste buds ready. Villa Peru has authentic and very tasty menu. The Pisco Sours are the real thing. Service is great and prices are reasonable.

My wife & I make it a point to visit a local restaurant that neither of us has tried at least once a month. While “adventure dining” has its pitfalls, it does reveal a gem from time to time. Villa Peru delivers. Starting with the service, it is second to none. Our waiter was attentive, informative and very pleasant. We... More

Because of the nice temperature I was able to eat in the patio. They have several "seviches" in their menu (careful the Peruvian "seviches" are very different from the Mexican ones). . All are very god. I had this time the less expensive one that it is also my favorite the "tiradito". Is my favorite, because of the special yellow... More

This is the worst restaurant I have ever experienced as theirs is 1. Peruvian food is not seasoned with soy sauce. 2. The items are totally misrepresented. One item was supposed to have chicken, pork & meat. All that was included was potatoes & beans 3. The chicken (arroz con pollo) was dry and the vegetables were not fresh but... More

We went for lunch and it turned out the waiter is also the cook. This one man show is overpriced, small portions, and food is misrepresented. The lamb shank is a questionable meat and not a lamb shank. There is a strong push by the owner to drink pisco. If you like peruvian food- go elsewhere! He had the TV... More

We had an errand near 64th Street & McDowell, and when that was done, were looking for brunch. This turned up on Travel Advisor, and I talked my husband into it. We got there about 11:45. and there was a big banner on the window by the front door indicating breakfast/brunch was served till 1:00. Bingo, we thought. When my... More

We are going to Machu Picchu in 2016 and wanted to check out the Peruvian food for my wife. I had been before and Villa Peru is like being in Lima. The famous potato dishes for an appetizer is a must. My wife had the ceviche and I had the Lomo Saltado de Carne which were great shares and wonderful.... More
