Our luncheon experience was good. Patio was wide open and enjoyed al fresco. Limited seating indoors. Bar area with booths. Wait staff was attentive. We ordered the Salmon BLT and Burger to split. Restaurant was not busy. Perhaps 10 guests. It took 30 minutes for...the food to arrive. We were not in a hurry but felt the wait was excessive. The Salmon BLT was served on a brioche bun. We judged it very good. The burger was very small and overcooked. We have had their burger in the past and were pleased. They missed the boat this time. Kudos to kitchen staff and waiter. They split the sandwiches before serving . Nice touch. Staffing is a problem everywhere and our experience may be a result of this dynamic.More

My first visit to the Vogue Bistro was great! Our waiter gave great recommendations. I had the filet mignon which was a tiny bit smaller than I expected, but packed with flavor!!! The wine sauce complemented the meat to perfection. The potatoes and roasted vegetables...that came with it were also very good. This restaurant is a must if you are in the West Valley!More

Tonight was the first time my wife and I have eaten at Vogue Bistro. This restaurant was recommended by friends who said that this is their favorite restaurant for special occasions. We had reservations and were quickly seated after we arrived. Our waiter Matthew arrived...shortly after to answer our questions and tell us about the special. The menu has several items we could have chosen that sounded really good. My wife went with the night’s special, the scallops that included lobster bisque. I chose the Vogue Burger with a side of grilled plantains. We did not have to wait long for our dinner to arrive and we were not disappointed. I loved the burger and the grilled plantains. The plantains were so good I almost didn’t want to share them, but of course I did. My wife couldn’t stop raving about her dinner as well. We topped off our dinner with deliciousness chocolate fudge cake. Our waiter Matthew was very polite and made us feel comfortable. We plan on returning again in the future.More

Made a reservation for a Tuesday late afternoon, My wife and I were planning on their Tuesdays Special (Two for $60). Opps that doesn't start until 4pm and we were there at 3:30pm. Nothing on there online website stating that. Our waitress asked the Chef...if he could do it earlier. NOPE! When we arrived the Hostess attempted to put us at a table right next to the kitchen. The place was empty except for one other couple. I requested a different table and you would have I had asked the Hostess for her right arm. Very unprofessional! We've been here a number of times before and this was truly a disappointing experience. Don't know that we will be back!More

My husband and I had dinner here once. The food was excellent but a bit pricey. It approaches gourmet dining. We came without a reservation and had to sit at the bar because the main dining room was full. The service was friendly and fast....The ambiance is upscale and relaxing. This is not a large restaurant. We plan to return.More

We recently had dinner at Vogue Bistro for our 46th anniversary! The menu offered a wonderful variety for all tastes and preferences. We had the Seafood Pasta and Shrimp Risotto. Excellent! We started off with their flatbread with balsamic vinegar and arugula. Also very, very...good. We enjoyed a bottle of Better Half Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and finished our dinner with a wonderful cup of coffee and Creme Brûlée. We will definitely be going back. At the time we were there (6:30 on a Monday) it was actually busier than we would have expected. We only made our reservations the night before and that was the earliest we could get in. We will call ahead sooner next time and hopefully secure a table on the outdoor patio.More

If I were writing this review just for food and ambience, it would be 4.5 stars. Unfortunately, our server (named Haythem) was terrible so my overall experience was negatively affected. We dined at the restaurant for dinner twice in 4 days. Haythem's service was so...bad the first time we called him out on it when we left. After 20 minutes, he finally took our drink order and pressured us for our dinner order. My lobster bisque arrived before my pre-dinner drink. We never saw Haythem again the rest of the evening. It was my birthday, yet we were so disgusted with the service we opted to skip dessert and go home. He appeared in time to bring our check. (Only the second time he came to see us all evening). My husband was quite direct with Haythem about his poor service. Four nights later, we dined out with another couple and thought we'd give Vogue Bistro another go. To our dismay, Haythem was our server again. He recognized us and we joked that we knew his service this time would be great. It was not. It appeared that he was covering a lot of tables this time with less supporting wait staff. He is pleasant, but doesn't "deliver" as a server or follow up with guests. He also loses track of time. This time, we sat for about 30 minutes before he took our drink order. We purposely didn't order dinner until the drinks arrived (because of the fast soup during our previous visit), and by the time we did order dinner, the food prep was slow but everything was hot and delicious. We like to have a restaurant we can go to frequently, but doesn't look like Vogue will be it for us.More

My wife and I took my parents there for their anniversary. We arrived at 5:30 on a Tuesday and the place was mostly full. We were seated right away. It took a bit for the waiter to take our order but nothing out of the...ordinary. We ordered. Then, about 20 minutes later the waiter came by to tell us they were out of salmon. Wow, we were there super early and out of food already? So we ordered something else. It took another 20 minutes to get the salad and over an hour to get the entrée. The staff seems to be moving with urgency but never carrying anything. Overall, the place was LOUD and uncomfortable, the staff was friendly but ineffective and the food, when you get it, is not bad. I'd prefer to just go to a sports bar where you can actually get service.More

Has been one of our favorite nicely upgraded bistro type places in Surprise. The menu has something for everyone, it also has a bit of the french flair which keeps going from the previous owner. I called ahead and asked for a table reservation not...in the bar area but in the dining room area. Was told it is full but has room in a booth, i asked if it was on the opposite side of the bar in the dining room. was told yes. We got there and did not have a table there as told, told they were getting ready for the 5 p.m. rush, it was 4 pm. and it was their date night special nite, so she wanted to put us right by the door in the bar area. seeing that it was way too hot to sit outside, which is also very nice dining, we still got a table in the bar area, but was closer to the service area. Took awhile for server to greet us. We had already decided on our appetizer and wine, but waited. Dining room did not seem too full yet. Haythem, nice gentleman, stopped by our table and took our order. Seemed very rushed. We gave him our app order , Tuna tartare, always our favorite to share, nice small chunks of ahi, in a great ponzu sauce with avocado, tomatoes and good crackers to scoop that all up with. Had just a very small dab of wasabi to share and only 2 small pieces of ginger in the middle of the tuna tower. Could not find Haythem to get more wasabi or ginger pieces. We then ordered our entres the Vogue Steak and frit and the lasagna. there was a wait but we know that all is cooked super fresh and worth the wait. Never had anyone come by to let us know of a wait or ask if we need anything. But we did see the very friendly and smiling water and clean up girl more often than our server. Someone else brings the food to you, so again, did not see the server. The Vogue steak was cooked perfectly as asked for medium, very tender and juicy and the frits were plentiful. The lasagna was a huge casserole chock full of really great pieces of italian sausage and ground beef mix with lots of sauce, spinach and herbs and cheese. I had asked for some bread, Haythem said we can get a baguette to you. Ok great. Never got the baguette or told maybe they did not have any. Instead someone came a bit later after my entre with pretzel bread. to me that does not go with Lasagna, and the pretzel bites happened to be on the appetizer list. So maybe all they had. Not told there was not a baquette. I brought them home with the rest of my lasagna, Haythem did not even stop by until we were well past halfway done with our meal to check, then asked if we wanted dessert. Then it was just the check he brought. So 3 times we quickly saw him, and did not see anyone walking around the dining areas to see that all was going well and talking to the diners. I am basing my rating on the food and ambiance. Which is always very good, nicely upgraded dining experience. Maybe need to work on the service, which understand there may be a lack of right now.More

When you advertise a beef dip . . . first I would expect a lot of thinly sliced tender beef on a wonderful bun with a flavorful au juis to dip in. Just so tiny! I was shocked! and the au juis really had no...beefy flavour. I wish I could post a picture because it is totally laughable! I would like a 'Good' designator. Nonetheless, our dinner at Vogue was good with some exceptions. We had reservations (definitely recommend) and sat on the patio. IOur table was directly next to the outside tarp. The wind was blowing so strong that it was impossible...to sit at the table. The table was also not stable. The tarp blocking the sun was torn. We were able to get a table inside but it was not easy. the hostess was more engaged on the phone and was virtually unresponsive. Get her out. We started with flatbread and Fritto Misto (fried Calamari. Flatbread very good as was the Calamari. Portion of the Calamari was very large. My wife ordered a scallps/calarmi sald. Both fish were fried. Not mentioned on the menu. I ordered the Lasagna. Average. Our guests had a chicken pasta (enjyable) and the meatloaf. Meatloaf had a 'sweet' sauce. We ordered cocktails (martinis and manhattan. They are expensive ($!3). But worth it as you receive olmost two glasses. Well done. Waiter told us to order appetizers since the kitchen was slow. It was and entrees took a long time. We enjoy leisurely dining so this was not a problem. Be prepared to wait for your orders base on our experience. We would return and be selective. Happy hour is a good option. In the past, burger has been very good.More

Didn’t meet my expectations but a good enough experience. Location is very much bistro style as advertised. Menu appears upscale but the food was not particularly great. The strong points for us were a very good Gucci martini (strong, large and reasonably priced) and entrees...of shrimp and risotto (tasty and an appropriate temperature). The crab crostini was pretty boring and lacked flavor. Not sure what kind of crab they used. Side of roasted plantain very good, vanilla squash average. Lemon cake for dessert was just ok. Not a terrible experience but nothing to write home about either. Expensive for nothing too special. Wait staff was good.More

This was our first time coming. We loved the atmosphere, the drinks were amazing. Because it was good friday we ordered the seafood pasta. We were really disgusted by it. We were told it had a white fish, which i never heard of and they...quit using swordfish, It had scallops, & calamari. I got mine and it was full of black fish skin and scales. It had no flavor. You would expect lemon, garlic, thyme. It looked like thick milk soup. It was just awful & i was grossed out by all the fish skin. We paid $25.00 pp for a meal that was not eatable. I asked the waiter & he came back and said that is how it is made. Huge waste of our birthday dinner!!More
