Spouse belongs to a group that plays cribbage there and he forgot his vest after the game. So, we went there for dinner and retrieved the vest. Not much to look at on outside of building on one end of strip mall. Lots of parking....OK but somewhat old fashioned decor. Seated quickly and offered menu. Neither of us were really hungry, so we chose sandwiches. Spouse had the Reuben and I had French Dip. Neither of us wanted fries. Took longer than I expected for 2 sandwiches, but both orders had plenty of meat and spouse's Ruben was toasted. We exchanged sandwich halves to vote on who chose the best order. This time, both were equally very good and just enough to fill us up. We got outta there for just over $20, including tip. It's quite a drive through traffic from our home so we probably won't go back for a meal - unless spouse forgets something again....More

This was a great find. Recommenced by front desk staff at Quality Inn & Suites. Closes at 8pm and serves breakfast all day. They have salads, sandwiches, dinners (w/ 3 sides). A small bar with probably 10 different bottle beers and spirits. Enjoyed dinner here...two consecutive nights (FR/SA). The price on the menu includes tax.More

We haven't been to the Royal for a while but every time we go food is great! We usually get breakfast there when we go...it's always been good!

I eat here often and the fact that on Friday's they have all the shrimp and fish you can eat great service.

Been going here for over a year, good service, good food, fair prices, homemade desserts. Pop in any time and quick hello from hostess, server quickly gets your drink order.

I have been going to the Royal Cafe for a couple of years now. Great little spot if you want a great value and a very good spot for breakfast. Service is friendly (thanks Sophia) Consistent. Great service for our group of 18 and everyone enjoyed the selections. We did have reservations for group size and cafe had adequate staff to service everyone.

Like many other reviews I have to say this place USED to be good. We stopped going a while back because we noticed a substantial drop in quality and service. My wife got a bowl of soup that had a paper towel in it that...she didn’t find till halfway through the soup. Another time our friend couldn’t get the waiter to understand he didn’t want ketchup on his meatloaf. So we stopped going. We recently decided to give another try hoping they returned to their former glory and were sorely disappointed. Today my wife sat down and was waiting for me to get there when the server tried to give her coffee in the previous diner’s cup. The level of service quality at this place is not just bad, it is disgusting. DO NOT EAT HERE!More

I've eaten here several times. The large menu is varied, and I've never had a bad meal here. Most recently, I've enjoyed the Royal Salad with tuna. I think it's excellent. I also have enjoyed the veal parmesan, rib eye steak and other selections. Their...vegetable soup is very tasty. The barbeque baby back ribs were really good, with house made sauce served on the side. The service is always friendly and efficient. Cudos to the servers! Their German chocolate cake was served drizzled with hot chocolate and whipped cream. It was outstanding!More

Last time, I said this place wasn't great but wasn't awful either. Well, I forgot what I had written, so we went again. First, it smelled. Really bad. Like toilet water. Second, the gravy was really salty, and all of it was frozen or canned....Third, the place is dirty. I will not go back. I'm surprised it is still open, because it keeps getting worse.More

very good food on special items during fridays. I like the large shrimp or cod. Both are very good, with 3 side items from a large variety of choices. It makes the week ending a day or nite of not cooking at home fun.

We ate here on Christmas Day. Their regular menu was not being used as they had a special holiday menu. Out of the 3 specials we chose the special seafood dinner: 6 shrimp & a lobster tail with cheesy broccoli, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy...& a slice of pie. The restaurant was at capacity all day but the staff was on top of it. Not much waiting and the food was very good. They have a wide menu of choices. By the way, their coffee and desserts are only $0.99. Stop in!More
