Aside from at times having a less than good service, this is a one of a kind place worth checking out. They have tables, a bar and a couch or two. Its all very homey. One of the bartenders I experienced was a bit of...a goof. He clearly thought he was still tending bar at the biker bar - "So, whats it gonna be, bud?" Anyway ... its a nice little place worth a stop. They have some finger food and nice art on the walls - mostly original I think. We like - you should too.More

Also, I was able to carry out a super-awesome large cheese plate--with meats, cheeses, crackers, olives and artichoke hearts. Definitely I plan to return to sit a while and taste wines.

This little wine place is very pleasant and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The wine is great. I've been here four times and plan to go back again.

Mix and match beer 6-packs, many beers and wines, but only cheese plates for food--still, for quieter fun, I could sit a while here in this quaint little bar on Sierra Vista's old West End neighborhood, just tasting and talking.

My husband and I stopped in to buy a couple of bottles of wine and ended up tasting wine with the owner, Kristine. She is delightful and very knowledgeable about her wines. She also carries a very large selection of beers. Nice ambiance inside her...shop, but not very attractive outside...don't be deterred! Go on in and enjoy!More

Loved this place. We went here after dinner and wanted to have a few drinks. They have a nice collection of wine and beers. The cheese plate is a great accompaniment for the drinks. We tried the beer flights - 3 beers to taste and...loved them all. The ambience is fun with lounge couches, coffee tables and board games. The bar tender was great and gave a lot of information about the beer we were tasting. Did not expect to find a cool hangout in Sierra Vista and am glad that we found Hoppin' Grapes. Do try this bar if you are in the area.More

So i am a bit of a wine enthusiast. But i also like beers. Hoppin’ Grapes has it all! Their selection is superb, great prices, chill environment, and you can buy wine and beer to take home with you. This place is a must see...if you’re in or around sierra vista. Well worth the drive!More

I've dropped by Hoppin' Grapes twice now, and it was very enjoyable both times. They offer a good, but not huge, selection of wines, and various small plates of food to accompany them. Both times, the staff was ready with recommendations, and seemed genuinely interested...in making sure the customer got something that was going to suit his/her tastes. I've sampled several of the wines, and a couple of the meat and cheese platters, and have been happy with the quality and freshness of it all. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with comfortable chairs and sofas, and various board games for your group to play, if you choose to do so. Overall, this place seems like it would be more at home in Bisbee or Sonoita, but I'm very happy to have it in Sierra Vista, and look forward to visiting again.More

We love to spend a weekend in the wine country. Arizona wineries do marvelous things with Spanish grapes, and sometimes you want a sample after hours. Hoppin' Grapes provides a good selection of local wine and beer, too. The ambience is perfect; the staff, jocund....We enjoyed a very nice glass of local red blend but really came for a flight of samples to guide our winery visits the next day. Unfortunately it seems tasting is done only during limited hours, and had I consumed a full glass of everything that caught my fancy I would hardly have been able even to call a cab. Why not do a tasting anytime a customer asks? With the number of guests in the bar, spoilage will never be an issue. A slight niggle perhaps, but completely avoidable. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience.More

Thanks for your review. We hope you will join us again soon. As far as your comment on tastings, we would love to offer tastings all evening, but we simply cannot provide the same great service to everyone which we try to always provide. We...More
