Much ado about this restaurant AND it is all worth it! Excellent schnitzel, home made sauerkraut and sweet/sour red cabbage. Don't look for a fancy place ... It is small and off the beaten path but golly was the food good. Everything was FRESH. Had the sausage sampler to start with and the schnitzel as the main course. Can't go... More

We lived in the FRG for four years (West Germany), and ate a LOT of German food. In 4 years, only had 1 bad meal. Won't go there. The German Cafe in Sierra Vista has authentic atmosphere, delicious German food, at affordable prices. I had the meat plate with red cabbage and spaetzle, my wife and everyone else had some... More

Having lived in Germany for over seven years, I was pleasantly surprised to find this small, genuine Gasthuas (Guest House) here in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The menu is full of German favorites, to include schnitzels (thin pork filets), wursts (sausages), spatzle (noodles),plus several other German favorites. The owner is a former native German, all foods are homemade with fresh ingredients,... More

This is one of the neatest little places to eat in Sierra Vista. A bit hard to find off the beaten path. Off Rt. 92, turn at Donavan Dodge (little street) it is in the back. Food was excellent, authentic like Grandmas. Loved the warm potato salad and coleslaw. Good pricing, neat and clean place. Will go back for sure,... More

I'll be honest, I thought this place would be larger given its reputation, buts it's a small hole in the wall kind of place that's out of the way. The food felt authentic. It was hot, tasty, and plentiful! Definitely a great change of pace from the chains and the Mexican food places that populate this southern Arizona micropolitan area.... More

This was hands down the best German food I've had at a local restaraunt and that comes from traveling all over the US for business - who'd have thought it would have been in Sierra Vista, AZ? If you're in town, it is a must visit!

This is a very small place. The cook and owner is from Germany, so every item made is authentic German style from her area of Germany. From time of order to time of food served, it does take awhile, but you will enjoy so have patience.

If you are looking for something different and want some really delicious food for lunch, then try this lovely place. It's out of the way, but worth the effort. They also have a various array of pastries and desserts. All freshly made on the premises.

We had family visiting and went, for the first time, to Trip Advisor to obtain restaurant ratings for our city. To my surprise, I found this cafe rating on Trip Advisor to be #1!! We decided to give it a try and we were thrilled by the food, service and value!! Everyone considered their meal to be fabulous!! We will... More

We have a few German options in town being a military town but my German friend says this place is the most authentic. I always go for the jaeger schnitzel. Yum!
