-Service started great but went down hill. Ran out of water multiple times
- Bread has a good taste but needs butter or olive oil. It was served with neither and was dry
- Ordered dessert to go and it all melted by time we returned to our hotel. Didn't seem to plan that very well. Disappointing for sure.
The owner/ manager seemed friendly and engaged. It was ok but would not rush back.

We spent the holidays in Sedona and made a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner in advance of our arrival. We were promptly seated and the service the entire evening was very good. They had brought in extra wait staff for the holiday. We had a very good meal based on their holiday menu. The only issue we had with the meal was the restaurant's tables were very close together and we were seated right on a main traffic walkway for waiters and guest. We felt they had probably added tables to accomodate the holiday crowd. At any rate we constantly had waiters weaving and bobbing their way closely for the duration of our meal. My wife was rather annoyed by the intrusions so we ate quickly and left the restaurant.

Since the pandemic, Bella Vita has been our go to restaurant. We sit outside on the patio and have been served every time by masked and gloved wait staff. Everyone is on their toes and very polite. The food is always great and tasty. We order off the Early Bird menu and feel that we get quality food for a reasonable price.

We arrived for our reservation and were seated promptly. The hostess was very friendly and after being seated our server greeted us and was friendly. We were surprised that the restaurant was so crowded and the noise lever was extremely "vibrant". We were celebrating our 51st anniversary and was hoping for a more quiet atmosphere.
The salad and main entree portions were large and could serve two people easy. The taste was excellant. Everything was going great until we ordered dessert.We wanted banana foster. Our server told us it would take 20 minutes to make and she was extremely busy And besides it has a lot of sugar and we should eat something else. So we ordered tirmasu to go.. We were disappointed. We waited a long time for our check and then waited a long time for the tirmasu. After getting the tiramsu I paid with cash because i did not want to wait any longer for the credit card to be processed. What started out as a wonderful evening , ended bad. We will not return nor recommend.

I wanna first apologize for the Server not completely satisfying your request, this is unquestionably not the type of service that we are Famous for providing at Bella Vita. There is absolutely no excuse for her not provide what you requested! I believe I know what serve this was and I will handle it with a strip warning to her. We showed up at five to four they open at four. Sign says see hostess for patio seating. We where first ones there and a few groups showed up after us and sat themselves in patio and got attention while we still waited at front door to be seen. Door was open late. Person tried to deny my service dog service inside wanted us to sit outside.
Than they from four to five only serve drinks and appetizers so we had to wait an hour to place our order. It took 45 mins for our order to come out. Other tables had their food in twenty mins and no we didn’t order anything that would take 45 mins
For the price of the food I feel like a salad or soup should be included it was expensive. We will not return or recommend it to others.

I’m sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience at Bella Vita. As the sign says, we open from 4 to 5 for cocktails and appetizers, and start taking food orders at 5 PM.
All of our entrées our Prepared to order, consequently, our servers informs our clientele that it takes approximately 30 minutes for Entrées to be prepared as each entrée is cooked to order. I’m sorry It took approximately an hour and half for you to receive your food after arriving, As dining doesn’t start until 5 PM. ,I apologize that you were not please, and please give me a phone call and I well Ensure you, your next visit will be up to your satisfaction, and at a discounted price. Overall this place wasn’t bad but this is definitely not a place if you’re hoping to have a nice dine in experience social distancing wise.
This place is located on the west side of Sedona about 15 minutes from the main part of town. The restaurant is located in the Sedona Shadows resort. Upon entering, all the tables on the outdoor eating section was filled and you had to walk through it to the main entrance to check in. The outdoor seating area has a live singer and everyone was not wearing masks and guests were dancing around close with each other to the music like covid never existed. This was so concerning....
Upon entering, all the tables were filled and no social distancing was observed. I had my mask on the entire time until I ate.
The food itself was not bad but not something to write home about. We had the insalata de forte to start which was okay, nothing spectacular. The chicken parm was my dinner and was recommended by our waiter. The chicken itself was not bad but I felt like the chicken parm at Olive Garden was way better.
Overall I didn’t mind this place but probably wouldn’t return. I probably would avoid it if you’re wanting to social distance during the pandemic.

Sorry you did not totally enjoyed your visit at. Bella Vita. We try very hard to do that all is necessary for precautionary during the Covid-19 virus. We take temperatures, we sanitize tables menus after each use, we sanitize all condiments, we do social distancing.
We cannot tell our clientele not to dance too close together, this is an individual choice.
All of our entrées are prepared individually to order, I’m sorry you consider Olive Garden food better, as you can read on Tripadvisor, we get almost all five star reviews on our food. Proud owner, Dan.

My husband and I sat at the bar to watch the football game. While sitting there, we watched a very chaotic restaurant who seemed very unorganized!! The older gentleman at the hostess station did not wear his mask and only put on when someone walked in. The bartender Brett was running around trying to serve tables inside and out. A waitress with long brown hair didn't wear her mask unless she was serving a table, but standing at the bar talking she took it off. The margaritas were not great and the frozen coconut shrimp was not worth the $10 spent. Servers were standing around not helping. They need a leader there to organize the chaos and get their team in shape!! Very expensive and not worth the money.

I should have known better. I went on line to get a reservation for Saturday night, April 10 and all the better restaurants were not available until after 9:00 p.m. Then I clicked on Bella Vita and ALL times were available. I chose 7:00 and when we arrived the host (who it turned out was the owner was unusual. He appeared a bit disheveled. We were seated immediately but it was quite a while before our drink order was taken. Getting that the time dragged on for us to place our order. Finally the waitress said that there was a wedding that was given priority. We ordered and then at 8:45 when our food had not arrived we had enough and I went over to the waitress. I told her that our food had no come in 1 3/4 hours and we were going to leave. She said yes, many people are leaving. On the way out there was a long line of people waiting to be seated and we warned them all!
I found out that the owner had accepted 180 reservations for that night when he had a wedding!!!!! This restaurant should be banned from Open table and taking online reservations. The owner is totally irresponsible. Pease be sure to publish this experience we had.

After trying a variety of restaurants my wife and I wanted a "safe meal" we were familiar with and so we choose the Italian restaurant at the hotel. Our experience was extremely disappointing as both of our entrees had under cooked chicken and the waiter forgot about our appetizer. There was live entertainment outside and we had asked to be seated at an unreserved table, but we were brought inside to what felt like the farthest possible spot from the music. While waiting for a waiter to bring us to our seat there were other guests who arrived after us being brought to outdoor seats and the only difference was it seemed they knew the staff. We assumed it was an act of favoritism and hoped that at least the meal would make up for it, but as I mentioned it didn't. My last memory of the meal was being scolded by the waitress for wanting to use a hotel coupon because it was inconvenient to her. Very disappointed overall.

I usually do not write a review like this however I feel I need to share. Went there with a reservation on New Years Eve 2020. Arrived did not hsve reservation asked if we would sit a the bar. I had company fron out of town I said absolutely not. After a period of mayhem finally got a table near the fireplace as requested
Dinner was absolutely horrible orderd prime rib med rare was delivered looking like a flat thin pork chop.
Way over cooked as were the vegetables. Never brought my salad until after my entree. You get the idea. All 4 meals were horrible with a very high tab. Mostly I was embarrassed for my guest. Will never return

Ambiance was nice but everything else was below par. They were out of four different items that we asked for including a wine, where the waiter insinuated we were cheap. The food was small portions, over priced and very bland. This was our one night in Sedona and we picked this place based on reviews but I just didn’t see it.

This was a last-minute choice after our long-made reservations were cancelled by another restaurant. Admittedly, we were a little skeptical since they were one of the only restaurants with availability, but we decided to give them a try. And, we were glad we did! Service was attentive and informative without being overbearing, and overall the meal was a good value. We were able to partake of the Early Bird selections and happy hour, which are a great value. We were going to each order a salad, but the waiter suggested we could split the Cesar salad, so we did. Each of our salads were ample portions and actually had real anchovies on top! Wife ordered the eggplant early bird special while I ordered the meat balls. Both dishes were ample and filling. It was a great experience and, though some of the staff was new, they did a great job. They are a little out of the way, a few miles east of greater Sedona, but well worth the drive.

This is a small restaurant serving Sedona Pines Resort, open to the public, just a few miles from town. The menu is typically Italian. The food and service are good. Check the times for Happy Hour Specials and Early Bird Dinners priced just right. During nice weather, enjoy the large patio for outside seating. Live music is usually featured on weekends. This is a restaurant we will visit again on our next trip to Sedona.

We went to Bella Vita for my birthday and for their Wednesday special, All you can eat Linguine and Meatballs @ $14 each. Great price!!!
The food was outstanding, the homemade pasta, sauce and meatballs were the best we've ever had. The ambiance/intimate setting was perfect.
Didn't care much for the salad, I think it was arugula, would prefer romaine or iceberg lettuce.
My husband had a margarita $8... ok price. But I ordered a glass of wine: Moscato. It was $12 for about a 6 oz glass. Way overpriced. The charge for the wine was really unreasonable. We'll go back for the amazing food, but we have to pass on the wine. Disappointed about that - it was almost as much as the cost of dinner.

My husband and I received a gift certificate from Sedona International Film Festival for my service as a volunteer. As a result we enjoyed one of the most amazing dinners in my memory. My husband had a shrimp scampi dish and I had a sea scallop dish. The scallops were cooked perfectly and rested in a wine sauce that complimented perfectly. The accompanying risotto was creamy and perfectly cooked. The vegetable medley was fresh green beans and carrots cooked al dente. Fabulous!!!! My husband's shrimp scampi was every bit as awesome with fresh noodles and large perfectly cooked shrimp in the best wine sauce I have ever tasted. The crowning glory, however, goes to River, our wait person. She was attentive but not obtrusive. She explained the dishes to us and even told us about a new restaurant in a nearby town the we will try on her recommendation. Service like that is almost impossible to find today. Thank you River and Bella Vita Ristorante for a most memorable meal. We will be back!!!
