Our family of 5 came for dinner and we were all so impressed by the food! Everyone loved what they ordered. We got shrimp and grits (lots of shrimp and pork belly), filet that melted in your mouth, halibut that was cooked to perfection, chicken carbonnara that was a special that night, and a wagyu burger with bacon. The sidewinder fries that came with the burger were outstanding! Dining outside provided much better ambiance for the elevated food inside of inside. The food is a little expensive but for the dining experience we didn't mind. Highly recommend this restaurant!

How is this not a top 5 restaurant in Sedona? It was phenominal! Nate did a great job with service and the food was both plentiful and tantalizingly flavorful. Shrimp and grits like no other due to tasty fresh garnish and crisp pork belly. Side salad was also a show stopper with generous fruits and cheese. Ahi tuna nachos were also nummy. Get here, you will not be disappointed.

We decided to come here for my husband’s birthday dinner after a full day of hiking. We weren’t exactly dressed up since we literally went straight to eat after finishing up the last trail for that day. We never felt judged by our wait staff for looking a mess. Lol. I especially want to give a shout out to our waiter, Jeffery, for being so personable and having real conversation with us even though I’m sure he had other things to do. He made us feel like we were his only concern at that time. He offered great suggestions, especially when asked about my dietary restrictions, he was knowledgeable about the menu and even the area. He was all around a pleasant person. I also want to thank the manager, Darius, for making us feel special and coming over to greet us and check in to see if all was well. The food was very good also. It was a little pricey ( but all the food in Sedona was pricey based on our experience). When we go back for more adventures, we will definitely stop in for another meal here. I highly recommend!

The ambience and the food in this restaurant were great. Unfortunately, our waitress was terrible. She didn't seem to be engaged in what she was doing. We waited about 40 minutes for our main course, and when it came it was lukewarm. Presumably it had been sitting there and she forgot about it. We foolishly ordered dessert, and again we waited about 40 minutes, then found a different waitress and told her to forget it. At that point, out waitress appeared with the desserts and just said "OK, I'll take it off the bill". There was no apology, never any "sorry about the wait...". What a shame, as otherwise this could have been a good experience.

Went here for breakfast, very nicely appointed, a true modern diner. We had fresh baked croissants, a yogurt parfait and blueberry pancakes, all were delicious. They also serve A very nice kid's breakfast with eggs, bacon and fresh fruit. Service was very good and prices fair.

We were staying at the resort and after a long day of travel decided to try this restaurant out of convenience. Seated, watered, and "menued" immediately. Staff friendly and our waiter was knowledgeable of most of the menu and drink items but needed to for the daily chef specials. My husband very much enjoyed his Chilean sea bass and while the flavor of my pasta choice was a bit too spicy for me, the pasta-sauce ratio was off. Enjoyed the live music. We enjoyed four drinks between the two of us and hardly expected a first night dinner over $200.00!!! A perfect set up for what awaited us over the next few days around the Sedona food scene. The only other meal we had there was I ate breakfast on our last day. I'm sorry, but cold breakfast potatoes, eggs, and coffee should not cost more than 10 or 15 dollars. Definitely not $28.00 and the "ambience" of the outdoor seating looking into the parking lot, was not a bonus either.

We were recommended to eat here from the concierge at our hotel as this is where the locals eat. The appetizers were great. For dinner, I had the signature meat loaf but it was very dry. Also, it is not your typical meatloaf where it looks like a loaf and you get large slices. This looked like a filet mignon wrapped in bacon, which I removed, and extremely dry. Meatloaf should not be dry. Stay away from the meatloaf unless you like to eat it drowned in gravy.

The change in ambiance from Reds to Rascals was a disappointment because of the noise. The new hard surfaces made it challenging for the waiter to hear our order, for us to talk. The waiter brought us the English muffin after we finished the omelets. We ordered no cheese because of CAD, but the fruit veggie cup had feta cheese, so hurry up and eat and leave.

I am always excited to try a "new" local establishment. I dined at this restaurant often through the years, when it was under a different name/management and was pleased to see the decor enhancements and new menu!
We dined during Happy Hour, and the prices were a bit high. Note when you are reviewing the Happy Hour menu, the wine/beer prices are already discounted the $2.00, versus the $2.00 coming off of the listed price. I didn't realize this until I returned home; the response I received from the bartender when I thought we hadn't been charged happy hour prices, was not very pleasant; she seemed a bit irritated at the query when it was an honest miss-understanding based on how the menu read.
The food was "okay". We had the Calamari, the Tuna and Fish Tacos (all on the happy hour menu) along with a side salad which we split. When dining here again, I would try something else.
What surprised us the most is the manager who was visible (walking around frequently) did not once stop to ask about our dining experience nor did he introduce himself. I don't think I saw him smile at any time either. Perhaps this is why we saw the staff's energy wane during our 2+ hour visit.
The person whose customer service was TOP notch was Charles (bartender). Always has a smile on his face, remembers you name (first and last!) and is generally the bright spot in any establishment he works in.
Having lived in Sedona for almost 20 years, if appealing to locals is a goal of Rascal's, we would be more mindful of welcoming the locals; checking in on their experience and recommendations. We didn't necessarily come away feeling our experience mattered.
One last comment about the decor: The back dining area did look a bit "cafeteria" like, which doesn't reflect the higher end prices.
Wishing Rascals success.

Lois, we appreciate your thoughtful comments about Rascal. At the time of your visit, Rascal had only been open about a month (we opened in October off 2021), and every new business has areas that could use improvement especially at the very beginning! We definitely want our customers to feel welcome, so I hope you'll give us another try soon.

Adjacent to the Wilde Resort in West Sedona is this relatively new restaurant that styled like a diner, but certainly is more than a diner. In addition to a full bar, it offers a very wide range of menu items. We had the meat loaf dinner and the lamb chops. Both were very good and artfully presented. Prices as compared to other fine dining locations in Sedona are very reasonable.
If you get a chance ask for Kimberly as your server. She is very helpful and informed about the menu options and offers very attentive service.

Initial impression wasn't the best. There was loud live music and a gentleman standing at the bar in a bath robe. One of his friends, then reached into the drink container filled with pineapple, and pulled a piece out (he at least used a tooth pick).
The food was decent (we all liked the fries), but the dessert list was underwhelming.

Oh my gosh this was soooo good. We had arrived in Sedona a little late in the day, so we needed to choose somewhere to dine quickly, not even knowing how good it would be. Our waitress was very good and suggested the Ahi Tuna Nachos for me because I said I wanted something loaded with flavor, but not heavy.
So that's what I ordered and they were unique and scrumptious, made my mouth so happy. Menu description below...
"Spiced wonton chips. Served cold. Crispy spiced wonton chips, fresh tuna diced and spiced, mango, shallots, fresh ginger, green onions, ponzu, sesame, avocado, jalapeno, wasabi and sriracha creme."
$20 and it was a good serving size too. My husband had the Barbacoa and he was happy. What a great meal after a long drive!
We almost went back to Rascal for a second night's dinner but decided we really SHOULD try somewhere else in Sedona, otherwise we would have been back. Wish we had a Rascal in our home town!

AMAZING! After a day of hiking we were starving for a hearty meal which was hard to come by Mother’s Day weekend. We managed to snag a 7pm reservation and I’m so glad we did!! We got the meatloaf and the chicken piccata, both amazing - the meatloaf had SO much flavor! We also got the chocolate chip cookies for dessert, yummmmm. We will 10000% be back on our next trip to Sedona!

We tried many of the local icons and recommendations and found Rascals to be the best food and dining experience during our trip. We liked it so much we visited twice for dinner on 2 separate occasions. We had the chicken piccata, burger, chicken Alfredo, grilled cheese and tomato bisque (my favorite) and the Monday special (short ribs). All were excellent. If you want a great meal while I’m Sedona, go here!

Our server, Nate was absolutely fantastic. He was so funny and kept coming back to check on us. He really was the highlight of our evening! The food was delicious. We ordered the firecracker shrimp, the petit filet, the chicken Alfredo pasta, and the chicken piccata. It was all delicious. Tonight was our first night in Sedona, and we will definitely return before we go home.
