I came across this lodge on TripAdvisor, otherwise I never would have know about this hidden gem. What a great find! Thank you TripAdvisor! Here's what I liked: Individual cabins with fireplaces. A delicious dinner (pre-fixe menu) that was $37... but well worth it! I highly recommend it. Anything in town would've been close to $30 and not nearly as... More

I have rarely felt so peaceful and relaxed in any place I've stayed, private or commercial, than at this lodge set back off the road running through Oak Creek Canyon between Flagstaff and Sedona. We chose cabin #1 since it was said to be the closest to the creek where one could hear the sounds of the stream rushing by.... More

We had a wonderful lamb dinner at Garlands on Friday night. The soup with garbanzo beans was spectacular, as was the salad. Sitting by the fire outdoors for cocktails before dinner made the evening even more memorable. The new management has done a great job. A beautiful place to stay or to come and enjoy a delightful evening. The flowers... More

Dining here is always a pleasure and this evening was especially so. The roasted chicken was perfect, not easy to do when 40 servings come out simultaneously. The fresh baked bread was heavenly, the salad exceptional, and the side dishes matched brilliantly with the chicken. An interesting and thoughtful wine list. WHEN, not if, you go... talk with Henry, a... More

I moved to Sedona, AZ in 2008 from New York City. I am a self-described "food snob," a foodie. My wife and I are constantly seeking out places to eat in the Verde Valley. There are a few places to go for good food, but THIS WAS, HANDS DOWN, THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD SINCE MOVING TO ARIZONA 8... More

My sister and I stayed at Garlands Lodge for one night. One dinner and breakfast was included in the Lodge rate. The dining room is a stunning lodge with vaulted, beamed ceilings, beautiful lighting, and a wall of windows overlooking Oak Creek Canyon. We elected to sit with two other people, a couple from Minnesota, and we really enjoyed ourselves.... More

Breakfast is served between 7-9:30am we found it to be quite good with great options for as much or as little as you might want. Dinner begins at 6pm with a happy hour to mingle, quite fun actually and we met some nice folks. Dinner was prepared well with good tastes and textures 5-6 courses so come hungry. A decent... More

Garlands has this fantastic reputation as Sedona's most special dining experience anywhere. Well, not so. The setting IS nice, but last evening the food was lousy. For starters their websight menu listed beef short ribs as the entre for the date, but when we sat down we were surprised to learn it would be pan-seared scollops with boc-choy. UGH. The... More

We ate dinner here but did not stay here. Starts with cocktail hour at 6:00 where you mingle with guests then at seven you are seated at assigned tables. Our meal of tenderloin steak and scalloped potatoes was good, not exceptional. The atmosphere is very cool although not Arizona unique.

Description
One special menu is presented each night by Chef Brian Widmer. The fixed price meal includes homemade bread, soup, salad, the featured entree, dessert and coffee. (Dietary restrictions are happily accommodated with advance notice.) With limited seating guests often share a table. Over the years our guests have often told us of friendships forged while enjoying a delicious dinner; for many it is part of the unique experience that is "Garland's Lodge." (Tables for two can be requested, but cannot always be guaranteed.) Cocktails are served by the fire or out on the lawn while the season permits, beginning at 6 P.M. All are seated when the dinner bell rings at 7 P.M.
