This is a local neighborhood, "bare bones" place located in a strip mall.
The portions are plentiful and the woman who works there (probably the owner) is friendly.
I've been there twice recently and both times I ordered the Almond Chicken Lunch Special. This includes egg drop soup, large portion of the entree, two won tons a small egg roll and fried rice. I'm tempted to try something else, but this combination is SO good!!
You won't go away hungry!!

This was the place to go for "chinese" (not really chinese food). It's ok but was a lot better with the previous owner.

Clean restaurant and prompt service. The server is friendly. The lunch combo is a good deal with a decent sized portion. I wouldn't call this traditional but the vegetables were fresh. The recipes are basic and not complicated. You know what to expect in general by the descriptions. My husband likes the BBQ beef with broccoli. I would go back and try the Mu Shu and they offer some Vietnamese items which might be good too.

We eat here at least once per week.
Try their Wonton or their Hot & Sour soup. Order the 16 oz size as this is very filling...and both contain meats+shrimp! If one wants a bit more to add to satisfy one's stomach, order the PuPu platter or their egg rolls. Very tasty!
Family run, excellent, fast service, friendly and simple atmosphere--and the price doesn't empty your pockets!
My favorite Chinese restaurant for low cost, good food!

We decided we wanted Chinese Food. Googled Chinese food in Scottsdale. This place was close by for us. So we dropped in for take out. Ordered soup, spring rolls, fried rice, egg foo Hong, cashew chicken. Never got the fried rice, should have checked the bag.
Food was ok, hard to be better then NY Chinese food.
Clean restaurant. Clean bathrooms, important.

Large selection for meatless options,
fried tofu, orange tofu, kung pao tofu, eggplant etc.
And a large portion is enough for dinner, midnight snack and lunch the next day.
Not going back to Panda Express ...

Not bad. I don't know if it changed hands. It was better when Winnie ran it. Still ok though. We get the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken.

I have been coming to this restaurant on and off for 3 years. The service un-friendly and rude. The waitress today didn't speak English and couldn't answer any questions/. Today was my last time. The employees are very loud and is difficult to enjoy your food. The food is good, hot and large portions.

I am from LA and we know great Chinese restsurants. The BBQ fried rice is LA quality. I would rate the fried rice from other Chinese restaurants as C grade.

I am conflicted on this place. Knew previous owners. They were the friendliest people. Always there. Now, we don't like to stay there to eat in. Just feel uncomfortable. The staff seems preoccupied with themselves then on the customer. However, we do still believe the recipes are the same. Food is good, cheap, quick. Definitely worth a try. Only suggest you do take out first.

When your lucky enough to have a restaurant that is this good so close to home, it's hard not to go every night. Pure and simple if you want amazingly fresh well prepared bountiful Chinese no matter where in the valley you live, you have to make the trip to Wok Express. Located in a strip mall it looks like a Chinese fast food place but the service will make you want to eat this amazing goodnight out of the kitchen. A must try if your a visitor as well
