The Alo Cafe is our new favorite place for breakfast in the Old Town Scottsdale area. We dined there two out of three mornings during our most recent stay in Scottsdale and will definitely go there again the next time we visit. The waitstaff is very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and accommodating, and the food is terrific. (Try the House Cured Corned Beef Hash, Hatch Chili Omelet, and Lox No Bagel Omelet.)

Had breakfast here three times on a recent trip to Scottsdale. The food was delicious with a great variety of options. Sat on the patio a couple of times which was nice, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were decent. A great little place to eat!

We were undecided about going out to breakfast but saw this place a few blocks from our hotel and went to look at the menu. Very friendly and everything looked good. Took our server's recommendations for the hatch chile omelette and waffle monte cristo. Both were great. I would recommend this place. I could tell everything was made there. Even the hot sauce was good.

This place has gone really down hill the last 6 months. The food is inconsistent and served cold. Today I ordered an egg white omelet (heart healthy option) and they served me a yellow omelet and spent twenty mins analyzing my perception and why I didn’t want to eat it. They brought me egg whites that had butter poured all over it like soup (to be passive aggressive). When the waitress came by she said omg before I could even say anything and apologized, took the plate away to go address the kitchen cook. All I ate was my toast and potatoes didn’t touch anything else. The manager came over and said she was only charging me half price for my omelet. She said it’s not her problem if I didn’t think it was an egg white omelet and it was just yellow because they drenched it in a new clarified butter. Here’s a lesson to you that $4.00 you wanted to put me in my place for just cost you a regular customer for the past few years and I just posted it to all my social media to stay away from your cafe

My wife and I decided to try Alo Cafe as we were looking for a new place for breakfast. The food was good, no complaints there. The restaurant was dirty however. The front door was grimy and in disrepair, dirty A/C, broken window seals so the glass was clouded. The prices looked decent but it was like a budget airline, where you get nickel and dimed on everything. Adding whipped cream and two strawberries was $4. We left with a $42 bill for bread, eggs and coffee.

Tiny and cute restaurant with great food and reasonable prices. We had an omelet and corned beef hash, both of which were excellent. Friendly fast service. We walked over from the Hotel Valley Ho, like a 5 min walk. I imagine it gets very busy, but we went early and were seated right away. This place is definitely worth checking out if in the area.

The location is small but cozy. The service was superb as was the food. This was my first time visiting and I wasn’t disappointed. The home fries were tasty and the coffee was great. You won’t go bankrupt eating here as the prices are reasonable. It’s off the beaten path so mostly locals eat here. Good enough for me.I’ll be back!

We waited about 40 minutes for two simple breakfasts. We were the only 2 in the place. My eggs and potatoes were not very good. My wife liked hers. The place is rundown and not very clean. Won't go back.

Came here for breakkie and what a great surprise.
My hash brown was just perfectly fine whilst hubby’s egg and sausage roll was just the right thing for him.
It is quite a funky place. Small with a garden but certainly packed a great punch in terms of food

We dined for breakfast and had a very good experience.
The house-made spiced sausage was delicious, the coffee was good, and the traditional Spanish breakfast was really interesting. The service was great and the outdoor dining area was our favourite part. The trees and plants surrounding the space were beautiful and the whole place felt tucked-away. Also, it you like a mimosa- for $8- they sure make a good one!

What a great little gem is the Alo Cafe. It's tucked away down a sidestreet but luckily for us we went with friends who raved about it. They were right - it was delicious. Let me start with the coffee- which may seem silly - but it's shocking how many breakfast places just whiff big time on coffee quality. I'm happy to say that Alo delivers - delicous, rich and temperature appropriate. I asked the very friendly staff opinions - which they had - and decided on the eggs and hash. Simple, well executed, flavorful - everything you want in a "joint". Can't say enough nice things - go check out Alo Cafe.

Small inside cafe. Croissant egg sandwich was good, but not large. Mocha was ok.
Large patio area was nice. The staff very friendly. Open early was a plus.
