We visit Phoenix/Scottsdale 1-2x a year and during our last visit discovered this gem. There were 6 of us, my wife and I, our 3 adult kids, and one of their girlfriends. This gem far exceeded our expectations. The pub/restaurant is fairly small, but the...food and service was big-time. We all ordered different dishes/sandwiches & all were extremely tasty! We found the staff/owner wonderful! Engaging, funny, and professionally attentive. Will definitely return!More

This place was recommended, so we stopped in for lunch. The staff were warm and inviting and the food was awesome. Service was great. Prices are very fair and the fries were yummy! If you in Scottsdale it is worth the stop.

Excellent food. The fries are out of this world! A little pricey but about what you would expect for a touristy pub.

Food was good. Staff/owner were average. If back through here I would probably try a different restaurant

On our first visit, we loved Karsen's and specifically asked if it was family friendly. We were told yes. On our second visit it was my birthday and we were enjoying old town. We wanted our kids to try the wings at Karsen's. It was...around 3pm on a Saturday. Once seated our server came to greet us and said, that it might not be the place for kids because of foul language and it being the Phoenix Open. Our kids are 14 1/2 and 11 1/2 and are just fine with swear words which we heard none of while dining. When we arrived the bar was full and two other tables were occupied. most of the bar patrons left and two couples walked in. It was not overly crowded. We ordered a cocktail, a beer and some sodas and two orders of wings. The wings were very good. They make their hot sauce in house. We then ordered another cocktail, a beer, one soda and fries, they were saltier than the last time but fresh cut fries are always good. Shortly after our fries arrived while we were still eating our server asked if we wanted our check. We felt rushed, no one was waiting for our table.. It just didn't seem like dining with kids was something they welcomed. Had they told us this when we asked on our first visit, we would not have brought our family. We did mention to our server that we asked the last time we were there if we could bring our kids but their was no reaction. It was just an odd experience.More

We went based on reviews and we were very satisfied. Good food, fair price, enthusiastic service. It is not a huge place so a large group may want to check ahead. Each of the 4 of us had something different and all reports were positive.

Wandering around Old Town, looking for somewhere to dine....found this gem! Very small, only 6. ( or so) tables. I WISH I could remember our servers name....HE WAS A ROCK STAR! Fabulous sandwiches and HUGE portions! None of us could could eat it all...Cuban was...spectacular, although a tiny bit dry in the center of all that luscious meat-with crisp pickles and purple cabbage- seriously delish!! Sweet potato and regular fries are awesome! Great adult beverage selections!! It was Oscar night so people wanted to watch....our server ran from table to table, water glasses full, bee refills quick....just incredible!! Would definitely go back!!More

This is a friendly little spot in the old town district. We went for lunch and Was surprised how small it was but the former bartender by the name of Heidi was very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our onion rings and sandwich Very...much!More

Had Karsen's Kuban sandwich. Huge sandwich, great flavors. Rocky greeted us warmly and took care of us. I would highly recommend this place.
