Visited twice while on vacation. On both occasions the food was plentiful and delicious. Especially enjoyed the pretzel and beer cheese...was as big as my head. Service was excellent on the first visit but was lacking on the second. I believe this wasn't the servers...fault as she seemed to be handling the entire restaurant. Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and was very pleased. Service was very friendly, Chelsea was very attentive. I had the 8oz Bleu Sirloin. Great steak cooked to my preference. Topped with a very good quality blue cheese, mushrooms and grilled onions. Mashed potatoes...and steamed veggies accompanied it and were very good. My friend had the steak fajitas which were according to the reviews very tender. He confirmed they were very tender and very flavorful. The fajitas had all the usual sides and treated great. We were tempted by Chelsea and had the bread pudding for dessert. I've lived in Louisiana for 15 years at one point and had a lot of bread pudding, but I can unequivocally say this was the best I've ever eaten. My friend who still lives north of New Orleans echoed my opinion. Do not miss this dessert! Great place, go there!More
The building itself is pretty neat. It is more Western than English Tavern. The menu is fairly large with lots of variation. Even 6 types of mac and cheese if that suits your fancy. Server Marie was excellent and stopped by a number of times...to check on us even though the place was busy with the lunch crowd. The big disappointment was the lack of social distancing and really no mask enforcement.More

Went in on a Tuesday early afternoon and it was fairly busy. Lots of space at the bar. No social distancing anywhere nor any table block offs. Restaurant is seat yourself so you can always seat yourself further away from people. Had a southwestern burger...which was very good. Additionally, we had the soup of the day which was creamy enchilada soup and some buffalo wings which were excellent as well. Our server, Chelsea, was not very attentive unfortunately. I believe we were sat furthest away from her section. The gentleman who’s section we were in (long haired man with cardinals mask) was very on top of things and even waited on us before getting the dreadful Chelsea. Although the service was horrific, the food was very good. I highly suggest to talk to Chelsea and improve on her serving/people skills because she was not very friendly or attentive at all.More
This is our all-time favorite place to enjoy a Friday date night! We've been going there for over 10 years and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Matt and Ryan are awesome and make everyone feel so welcome. The food is delicious and the...staff is very attentive and friendly. After spring training game was cancelled we discovered this restaurant. The waitress was pleasant and the food very acceptable. If you like sports on TV you will like this place.

There are many TVs showing the latest in sports and racing and occasionally it gets noisy, but the food is excellent and the servers are friendly and efficient. If you like to watch sports, this is an excellent spot for viewing. The food is very good also. On Saturday's, all hamburgers are 50% off with the purchase of a drink. On Sunday's, the discounts switch to chicken. My wife and I have tried...the Blue Cheese Wedge, the Chili and the Nacho's. Would recommend all three Owners are always on site for troubleshooting. In October and November we went to Tavern Grille 3 times and enjoyed it every time. They have daily specials that are fantastic - great food at super reasonable prices. We had burgers on Saturday night (special of the day). Lots of varieties and all...of them 1/2 pound of beef loaded for $6-7! Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good food and service. Varied menu. Each of three couples order a different item and we were all pleased. The Tavern also has Off Track Betting on horse racing.
We went with 15 people for a dinner around 8 pm on Saturday. All of their burgers were 50% and they were 1/2 lb too. Good selection and they had pitchers of beer too.
Three of us sat in the bar area. Great atmosphere, great service. At our table we had two Greek salads, one with salmon the other with chicken. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Everything was really good. Would go back again.
