This is usually an excellent restaurant- have been there many times. They have an outstanding Happy Hour with specially priced food & drink from I believe 4-6pm. If you don`t get there by 4:30pm- there is nowhere to sit & the Bar is very big. It was packed- I got the last seat at the Bar. Service was VERY slow... More

This restaurant picks up their seafood from the airport daily assuring seafood lovers premium freshness.....You take stairs as this restaurant is literally underground like a cellar.....King Crab is shelled for you at the table, scallops are fluffy ,the Prawns are wonderful..and the Ahi Tuna was to die for.....the only down side to the meals was that the Halibut was overcooked.....meals come... This seafood resturant is one of the best. I had great best soft shell crap. You must make reservations there. The appetizers are a great deal too.

Unique setting. We told the waitress when ordering that we wanted our fish on the medium rare side, but sadly it was overcooked. They did replace it, but then you have to wait. Restaurant is very noisy as well. Have been to happy hour and just had appetizers in the bar. The mussels, oysters, and shrimp were all very good.... More

One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Lobster was fantastic as well and the turtle soup was pretty good although I have nothing to compare it against. But the real finisher that clinched it was the salted caramel Gelato in a waffle cone.... tasted just like the Gelato I had in Italy. It was magical. I... More

My husband and I live in San Diego but every time we visit family or friends in AZ, we always come here. We have been coming to this restaurant now for about twelve years. Who would think they could get fresh seafood from all corners of the US in Arizona? The owner does just that. He ships fresh seafood from... More

The seafood is excellent. Had the meatiest mussels ever served. The seafood is fresh and if you question anything it is replaced. A unique dinning experience below ground level.

Some years ago, we had booked reservations at the Salt Cellar, based on many recommendations. That night did not happen, as we had my late MIL in her wheelchair, and she could not be moved to the downstairs dining area (“cellar” is NOT a misnomer). Communications of our needs were obviously not clear. We dined elsewhere that night, and then,... More

I have wanted to go here for several years but have never made it....until now! It was a Sunday night in March (March 19th) during the height of the "season" for tourism in the area, spring training, NASCAR, LPGA were all on that weekend so Scottsdale was crazy busy, as was the Salt Cellar. We arrived about 7, you have... More

The trout, crab legs and pan fried oysters were delicious! I think the steak may have had some type of sugar coating as my husband's blood sugar spiked after that meal. The escargots weren't very flavorful and were served in mushroom caps rather than the traditional way. But the rest of the food, especially the fresh sourdough bread rolls, was... More
