The worst rib eye I’ve ever eaten. I ordered med/rare and I received a RAW steak. I sent it back to the kitchen and it was returned to my table still RAW. Do not eat here,

My fiance and I love Cholla's! But the last time we were there it was the worst service and meal ever! We were taking my mom for the 1st time! We had reservations @ 7:30pm, we were seated and nobody took our order until 8pm....I had to go to the hostess to ask her for our server! After we finally ordered, our meal took forever and we werent acknowledged any time while we were waiting!! We finally got our meat at 8:35 and we were so upset it took so long, we didn't eat our meal! We didn't even get an "I'm sorry" or "can we offer you dessert" or "can we buy you a cocktail"....that's what pisses me off! They just did not care!More

The restaurant is inside Casio Arizona which also has a very good brunch buffet. The Cholla was a real find providing top notch fine dining at a price below other fine dining restaurants. Beginning to end was perfect. The restaurant is intimate with a small...lounge and the restaurant has white table cloths. Once seated, they brought small damp warm washcloths for our hands, fresh water and three types of bread with sesame dip for the bread sticks. We started with mixed drinks were well made. For dinner I had a NY Steak and my wife a small filet - well seasoned and cooked to our order. The waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful answering our questions. This is about 50 miles from our home in the far west valley BUT we will definitely be returning. Five stars +More

Wonderful food and wonderful price. One of the best steaks in the USA / Europe. Service was excellent and staff friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was perfect - even down to the chilled fork for the side salad. Sides were perfect and the desert menu fantastic....Went on Wednesday evening so table booking was easy. As the restaurant is in the casino, there was a huge car park with valet parking available.More

Food was so good we came back a second time on a recent visit, this time with friends. Excellent Filet with two sides was $35. - in some places the filet is more expensive and you pay extra for sides. We had among other things,...asparagus, carrots, and baked potatoes as "sides" - all very very good. Depending on your eye sight, you might want to ask for a table in the light. Our first time here we had a table that was so dark we needed to use cell phone flashlights to read the menu. Food well prepared and friendly service.More

We were a party of 3 family with reservations. We arrived and promptly ordered 2 appetizers as we had not eaten all day. We ordered 1 bottle of red wine. We started eating looking at menu talking about what we would like. All of a...sudden our wine was taken away. We were told that we were all intoxicated. Which my brother Law was sober and not drinking. SHE the manager stood 3 ft away watching us eat. Super creepy. We were talking about her at this point staring at us. If we were so intoxicated why were we served in the casino a beverage when we arrived? My brother in law is a high roller at casino, which the manager of restaurant took his card with balance of several thousand dollars. Took his card said he was ban from casino and she kept his players card. Next day video footage was shown to brother in law, and we did nothing wrong. Horrible manager. If you plan on going to this Casino/restaurant... NO DRINKING, DO NOT HAVE FIN. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.More

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Now I need to say upfront the service is excellent. I ordered two 4 oz fillets with the shrimp. I ordered them medium and both came out well done. The sauteed mushrooms with garlic tasted like...they were out of the can and not fresh. Why in the heck did they include raisin toast with the basket of bread?More

first of all this a small restaurant in the casino arizona. they have 18 tables so a reservation is very much in order. we had a reservation and were immediately seated. our waitress,Alsa, was very competent and was always there when needed. we had the...calamari appetizer and it was superb. i had the filet and my son had the strip steak. my filet was probably the best steak i have ever had. sides were good. prices were a little high but less than half what you would pay in other top end steakhouses. would happily go againMore

Relatively small restaurant in the casino specializing in beef options. Started with calamari which was quite good. The Chateaubriand for two was average. Good quality of meat and au jus and dipping sauce with it complemented well. The so-called lobster mashed potatoes were tasteless. Lemon...cake also okay. Service was pleasant and attentive. The prices are great for what they were offering. Not sure I'd go back but they did make an effort to create and serve a reasonable dinner.More

Friends invited us to their favorite restaurant at the Arizona Casino. We were surprised at the quality and quantity that this restaurant offered. We loved All the little extras like warm towels, a small scoop of Sorbet and at the end little macaroons! The waitress...was amazing with everything. She was friendly and very professional. The food was reasonably priced. Huge steak and perfect baked potatoes! Awesome crème brûlée ! Incredible dinner!More

Talk about a hidden gem. By chance, my wife and I discovered what could be the finest steakhouse in the Greater Phoenix area. After spending an hour exhausting our $20 allotment at the slot machines at Arizona Casino in the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale,...my wife and I decided to have a late-night dinner at the Cholla Prime Steakhouse and Lounge. Located only steps off the gaming floor, it looked every bit the part of a high-end restaurant, the recipient of TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence for two years in a row. To put it mildly, we were overwhelmed. What a wonderful fine dining experience. Chef Daniel Skaggs really knows how to satisfy customers, specializing in such dishes as crab stuffed prawns, New York steak and elk tenderloin. But we had a problem: What to order, Chateaubriand for Two or Porterhouse for Two? Believing a 32-ounce porterhouse was too much meat for us to consume in one seating, we opted for the prime tenderloin Chateaubriand for Two. We started with crab stuffed shrimp, seafood bisque, steak and mushroom soup and traditional Caesar salad. For sides, we chose a roasted sweet corn casserole with Southwest-style cornbread and creamed sweet corn and lobster mashed potatoes with lobster meet and parmesan mashed potatoes. For dessert, we shared large slices of coconut lemon cake with white chocolate mousse. Open at 5 p.m. daily, Cholla has become a go-to destination for locals and travelers who want to experience a great meal when they hear about it.More

This rating is for the food, value and service. Cholla has a November special of 8oz filet & 4oz lobster tail with choice of potatoes & vegetable with Cesar salad or chopped iceberg. The salads were fresh, crispy lettuce, dressing plentiful and tasty. The steak...was very tender & cooked perfectly. The lobster tail was really outstanding. Could have done with smaller steak & larger lobster tail, but amazing as all of this was $37 per plate. Definitely visit again when passing through!More

This is our favorite place in all of greater Phoenix, even though you have to wade through a smoky casino to get there. Everything we've ordered here has been outstanding - particularly the chateaubriand for two - and the prices are surprisingly good. The people...are friendly and efficient, and the extra dry martinis are perfect. Our only hesitation in recommending this place is that more people might start coming and make it harder to get in!More
