This small place offers great food, using local ingredients as much as possible, in a lively atmosphere. Our friendly waiter was able to offer a thorough description of everything on the menu, as well as expert and appropriate recommendations for wines to compliment the food. Perhaps most surprising was the concentration on Arizona wines -- who knew you could make... More

We were looking for something other than the big steak or piece of fish. FnB was a delightful and delicious choice. The beginning selections were outstanding in variety and quality. Seared lamb dumplings were a special. We shared the cauliflower and ricotta dish. It was substantial and wonderful. The waiter was so helpful too. I recommend ordering as in a... More

I will preface this by saying the food I review may be different than offered as the restaurant changes the menu often. I ordered the Portuguese soup and arugula salad as well as the langos. All of these dishes had much stronger flavors than I expected. The Portuguese soup was spicy unlike the traditional soup (which I've eaten my whole... More

We arrived early for our reservation and were quickly ushered to the bar where we enjoyed cider from an impressively long list of options. Our table was ready on time and we were seated in the cozy dining room. It was a busy Friday night but the tables are spaced to allow for intimate conversations and minimal eavesdropping! We ordered... More

This is a small, casual restaurant; about thirty seats, with another ten outside. The lunch menu is only about six "small plates" that have huge portions. We had four, took about two thirds home. Each dish was just amazingly delicious. All had many, many ingredients, something I normally don't like, but here it worked so well. The service is casual,... More

What a find! Very happy with our choice last night. The lamb dumplings were our favorite butt you know the chef has their act together when the bread and olive oil ate so good and fresh. Most places don't understand fresh olive oil! The land dis and scallops were both great. The yuzu cream cheese ice cream was interesting and... More

One of the best restaurant meals I've had in a long time. The menu was creative, with unique ingredients that you normally don't see. You do have to be adventurous to eat in a restaurant like this. But you will not be disappointed. There were five of us, and we basically ordered dishes to split so we could try most... More

Just dined at FnB. We used to live close by and went there a couple of times and were impressed, so we booked for our 25th anniversary (mentioned that when booking). We were treated well on the phone and asked our seating preference, chose a table outside and were seated quickly when we arrived. We had this server before. He's... More

We had not been back to this excellent restaurant since it had moved locations. The new building is larger, yet the restaurant has kept its intimate charm. We dined there in mid-October and ate on the veranda when the evening weather was perfect. It is located in old town Scottsdale; parking can be a challenge, and dinner reservations are necessary....
