My family and I dined at La Hacienda on a recent trip to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, and were just delighted with the authenticity of the food, atmosphere and service experience. We had the pleasure of dining by the rustic fireplace and enjoyed the trio of guacamole (bacon, crab and pomegranate) with house made tortilla chips. For appetizers, we devoured... More

I must admit Mexican is not my first choice in restaurants. But this place is definitely not your typical Mexican venue. For starters the Fairmont Hotel has a beautiful setting -- the restaurant has the Hacienda look with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is definitely not taco-esque. The guacamole, prepared at the table, is the best I have... More

This is in the Fairmont Hotel and the restaurant is very cozy. The food is Mexican/American but excellently prepared. And don't forget to ask about their wines and drinks.

I eat guacamole or avocado nearly every day so I'm quite picky about it. Well, this location does not disappoint. I couldn't believe how good the guacamole was. Super fresh ingredients stirred up right in front of you. Equally great was the selection of tequilas. Later I had a salmon dish that was cooked perfectly. It just melted in my... More

We were really excited to eat here after eating the night before at another restaurant on property. We just didn't quite have the same upbeat, great meal we were hoping for. The food was ok, the steamed corn was great. But the spicy crab guacamole was mediocre. Service was spotty, sometimes attentive other times nonexistent. Sitting outside was nice until... More

located in the Scottsdale Princess Fairmont resort. Five diamond. Excellent presentation of Latin, Spanish and Mexican food. They have a Tequila Goddess that actually spent considerable time in Mexico training in the distilling and aging of tequila. She knows every tequila. The region it is from, it's age and how it was aged. Get a flight! The post meal coffee... More

Fantastic southwestern fare! We ate the stuffed squash blossoms stuffed with pulled meat. The best squash blossoms, even better than my Italian immigrant mom's (sorry, mom). We shared the chicken alla brasas which melted in your mouth while it exploded with delicate grilled flavors(need that recipe). Everything we ate was amazing. The only down side is that you get too... More

Beautiful Fairmont Hotel with immaculate landscaping and lighting displays. La Hacienda serves upscale Mexican. There isn't a lot of queso and guac here. The chips and salsa were good. the margaritas delicious. The food was well portioned; you won't go hungry...and you should arrive hungry! The staff was attentive and friendly.
