Old Town Scottsdale’s heart is beating to a Latin drum, now that The Mission has arrived and brightened the restaurant scene. Renowned Zinc Bistro Chef Matt Carter is now cooking up modern Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. Home made Tortillas, Arepas, and Salsas are made fresh daily and all meats are prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor.

Great noisy vibe with very good food

This is a noisy place with a fantastic atmosphere located in an old mission setting. Indoors and patios have an authentic old Spanish or Mexico atmosphere. Very good wait staff, as they " upsale" you on expensive items. A solo lunch without alcohol cost me $35 dollars.

This was our second visit here and were pleased again. It was very busy on a Thursday night, but service was still good. Highly recommend the table made guacamole. Drinks are on the expensive side, but the margaritas were very good. Great place for a couples meal.

We went here with some family friends. The corn appetizer was delicious! I had the chicken dish with was great as well! The portions are a little small but not too bad. I would defiantly go back here again!

Went to Mission on our trip to Phoenix and loved it. It is soo reasonable priced. Make sure to try table side guacamole. Must have the cucumber margarita - we were all thinking of the day after! Beef brisket and fish tacos amazing.

The outside of the building and the decor were both beautiful. There is a patio area and inside seating. We set inside. The restaurant is quite and quaint, dimly light. The food was very good.

We had a delicious lunch at The Mission. We enjoyed several different dishes and they were all excellent! Portions are on the small side, so you can try a variety!

I really like this place for the atmosphere and drinks. The food is so-so and overpriced. The table side guacamole is something worth going for. The drinks are always strong and the menu has lots of options. It's more of a new age Mexican fare, I prefer the real authentic fare. Worth going for atmosphere.

Why would anyone go to Scottsdale Arizona for fish. I ordered grouper. The server described the piece as 8 oz. I don't carry a scale in my pocket but I would say the piece was half that large. It was okay but worth far less than the chic price. Our friends ordered scallops and the duck confit. Again, the portions... More
